The 1 star the store gets is for the staff because they're nice but everything else about this "thrift store" is wrong. Small plates are marked up to 10 or even 15 dollars each, tiny wine glasses are going for 10 each and they're trying to sell furniture for hundreds of dollars that is second hand and falling apart. This is absolutely ridiculous, don't claim you're a thrift store if you act like a pawn shop/regular retail store. Not to mention that EVERYTHING IS DONATED TO THEM.

Used to have fair prices, but this store seems to have forgotten it’s a thrift store not a vintage boutique. Stop overpricing your items or rebrand to a different type of store.

Our family really wants to support local businesses but we don't make a lot of money. Shopping at, and donating items to our local thriftstores, is just about all we can manage. We keep trying to shop at Sammies Friends but we are officially priced out of shopping here. We've even seen items we've donated priced for more than we bought them for. The store is the fullest we have ever seen it. We gave sweet Aurora a pet and sadly, we won't be back.

I’ve been shopping here for years, and while I understand the cause, I feel that the prices have increased dramatically. I’ve left empty handed almost every time now. I do better at other thrift stores, and if I wanted to pay the prices of some of the items, I’d just be better off buying them new. I always thrift and try to buy second hand majority of the time. I’d love to shop here again, and hope that the prices become fair again…but for now it’s not worth it to me.
