25+ years of amazing service! I’ve been coming here since I was a child myself. & now we bring our children. We LOVE holloways!! It is more than just picking a treat, it’s an experience altogether! The kids rides, the hot chocolate & popcorn, the entire atmosphere is lovely! The owners are the sweetest people ever & make it a point to say hello & give us hugs even though they are extremely busy. The staff are always so nice & helpful also!
We plan to return every year & carry on this beautiful tradition!

We paid over $100 for a 6 foot tall dead Noble Fir. Unfortunately they didn't have any Nobles that you could cut down, so we go a precut. They do a fresh cut on it too and literally no sap. My stand at home has a spike in it, so I drilled into the bottom of the base so I could easily slide the spike in, I drilled in about 6 inches into dried out wood. Put it on the stand, put water in my stand and the tree didn't drink a drop. If you're going there to cut down a tree (only MontereyPines), prepare yourself for a good experience with great photo opportunities, giant swings, peddle go karts, hay rides, hot cider, etc, but prepared to pay alot for the experience. If you're going there a nicer tree, prepare yourself for an overpriced dead tree.

We live in San Simeon and were referred to Holloways Farm. Our family made the drive around Nov 28th. We picked out a beautiful noble fir with the help of one of the boys. Service was great. After 2 weeks of watering we noticed an infestation of bugs on the tree. I called the farm and was told we could bring it back or to take it outside and spray it down really well, then leave it for a couple days. I had asked for a credit for next year and the woman on the phone said she would check and call me back. I never heard a thing after that. The drive is quite far so we took off all of the decorations and threw some away because of the bugs. I sprayed the tree down several times and left it outside for 2 days.
We then redecorated the tree and hoped for the best. Unfortunately the bugs must have layed eggs that we did not get and the infestation happened again. This time we just threw the tree outside and had enough.

It was a nightmare to deal with and I felt that Halloway Farm left us hanging and never returned the call to assist with a solution.

Update: never even received a response on the review. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

Great selection of trees, you can buy smores kits and roast marshmellows, go for rides, swing on swings, a good time all around

Such a wonderful place to get fresh Christmas trees, and pine! There's nothing better than the fresh smell of pine in your car or home. They will help you if you're not accustomed to cutting your own tree. They provide carts and saws. Full service. The trees are excellent. I've never had a bad one from here (but have elsewhere). It's also an amazing family experience especially if you have kids. Highly recommend if you're in the area: Atascadero through Santa Barbara.

Every year, the day after Thanksgiving, we drive from Paso Robles to Holloway's to get our tree. We love our family tradition!

If you are not excited about the children getting a tree why have a Christmas tree business? They do not deserve our business.
We will not be back.

We arrived at 6:30om. Rode the rides & enjoyed ourselves for the fifth year in a row. And then without any warning we were told we could not cut down a tree because the registers were closed. At 7:42pm.

Two seven olds crying did not even sway the owners.
Merry Christmas.
