They insisted this spare tire was ideal for driving my whole family around in this 8 passenger SUV because it was “within spec.” When I brought up my concern with this tire I was told that if I didn’t like it I should find another vehicle. Would you trust this tire with your family?
I accepted the higher market price with the previous car i bought at CarMax because i could justify it with the higher quality vehicles and inspections, but now…
Look carefully at everything before you buy. And if you see something that concerns you then “find another vehicle”
Off topic, it took over four hours to purchase a car with cash, i can’t imagine how long it would have taken had it been financed.

I recently had my car appraised at the Norco location. Kenny was the associate who helped me out and did the appraisal. In the initial questioning he asked me preliminary questions on the car and I disclosed the engine light was on and in a joking way said that the engine had oil sludge and that is why the light was on. Well! Be careful what you say in your preliminary interview because the appraisal came back and guess what they “found”.. sludge in the engine. Which is not only impossible to see with a picture or with the naked eye but an assumption based on what I had told him! Like I know what I’m talking about ? be careful with carmax! They will take what you say, twist it so it’s in their best interest, find something wrong with your car, and lowball you on your estimate. I spoke with the manager Trish as well and during our conversation she concurred that the associates do take what we say into account even if it ends up being an assumption on their part and reflects in the estimate. Not only was she and rude and laughing during our conversation but was extremely belittling, disrespectful and not willing to offer me a right and unbiased appraisal.

Was welcomed and checked in quickly for appointment. Within minutes Bahij introduced himself to me as he would be assessing my car I was selling. He had a calm and welcoming demeanor that put me at ease. He was quick and efficient with assessment and showed me offer that was given online. His friendly demeanor carried over as we filled out the paperwork for sale that it made it seem like no time was spent there. I watched others come in to look at cars and liked that they were not followed and were allowed to look at cars at their leisure. Overall I had a very pleasant experience and if I need to sell car again I would definitely consider coming back here.

Don't go in for test drive you really wont be test driving it. Even though I reserved a test drive specific on the website we didn't even get on it and turn the car on. Kinda disappointed as they would rush over to the desk faster after hearing "I'm just looking for now". The information they had on the car was good though.

We’ve been loyal CarMax customers for years, but this was our first time visiting the Norco location—and we couldn’t be happier with our experience, thanks to Brian, the amazing technician.

After purchasing our Jeep Renegade, we noticed it wasn’t running quite right. When we brought it in for service, Brian went above and beyond. He was incredibly friendly and took the time to sit with us and thoroughly address all of our concerns. What stood out most was his commitment to finding the root of the problem rather than just providing a temporary fix.

Not only is Brian a skilled technician, but he’s also wonderfully personable. He even got excited when we mentioned the new restaurant we had just opened down the street! While our car was in the shop, Brian kept us updated with calls, making the process smooth and stress-free. When we got the car back, it was running great!

We did need to return one more time to fix the sunroof, and once again, Brian was there to assist. He quickly diagnosed the issue as a need for lubrication, and we had the car back the same day—which was such a relief. When we picked it up, Brian greeted us with the same warmth as before and even asked about how our restaurant’s grand opening went.

In today’s world, it’s rare to encounter such exceptional customer service, especially in a large company setting. Brian truly cares about his customers and takes pride in his work. We’re grateful for his dedication and kindness, and he made our first Norco CarMax experience unforgettable. Thank you, Brian!
