Sunday 10 am plenty of free parking, clean bathroom. Took the Spur Trail down to Alta Dena Trail+Prickly Pear Trail both had tons of flowers that footpath cuts thru, fun "bushwhacking" hike, then Nike Trail back which had no flowers but good amount of shade.

I work up here at times and love the view on a clear day after the rain. The views here are underrated. Catalina island looks so close. Today the ocean had such a pretty blue-green color. The wind has blown away the smog. Trails line the area for a nice off the path hike. Take advantage while it's still semi natural. Bring the family for a picnic or a night at a restaurant overlooking the ocean. So beautiful.

It’s summertime 2022 and movies in the park are back! The Encanto movie vice a great kick off and they have awesome entertainment for the children before the movie. The sunset was an extra bonus. The food truck soft typical fast food but it was popular. Parking was OK be prepared to walk a while. Audio and picture quality they’re decent. Staff was very friendly.
It can get cool. Bring blankets and maybe even a Winter coat.

This tiny dumpy-looking City Hall is out of step with all the beauty surrounding it. The citizens may have deliberately decided not to aggrandize government, but with the view behind it this could make even a simple building quite beautiful if it were not such a utilitary trailer style.

It is a location with a great view of the ocean and Santa Catalina Island. There are also benches and grills for picnics, a tennis court, and a beach volleyball court.

I put in a service request for fire brush clearance for trails they are supposed to maintain and they did nothing. Terrible customer service.
