This little hotel has a rustic charm. The decor is rustic and unique. It holds the nuance of long ago. It is not fancy by any means but it is clean and very comfortable. The hosts/Owners Paul and Teagan are very accommodating. There is one room downstairs which was great for a familymemberwho couldn'tmanage the stairs. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

The rooms are reminiscent of the early 1900's, and they are very unique. Good sized rooms and very clean and comfortable. Easy off street parking and very accessible. Paul and his wife are excellent hosts and they really made us feel at home. The Cumbres and Toltec Train Station is less than a mile away. There's also a grocery store and two restaurants within walking distance. Y'all need to give this place a try, you won't be sorry.

I loved staying at this beautiful historic hotel!! There was so many cute details throughout the hotel and the friendly staff told me all about the cool history of the building (It was originally built in 1911).

The hotel and room itself was super clean and the staff helped me with directions to the train the next day.

Recommend for anyone traveling in the area or riding the Cumbers and Toltec train!

I also learned that a scene from Indiana Jones was filmed in the town!

The room was clean and adequate for a night. The bed in room #6 was very comfortable and the Wi-Fi was excellent. All the rooms are on the second floor. I arrived at 7 pm, after the front desk had closed but with a phone call, the owner was there very quickly. Check-in was a breeze. Parking is adjacent to the building. There’s a common room with a pool table and this is where the self serve breakfast is also. You help yourself to items in the fridge and freezer and there’s assorted cereals, teas, coffee, hot chocolate. There’s a second story deck for outside seating. The main things that were lacking was more than one hanger and a chair in the room so I didn’t have to sit on the bed.

My husband and I stayed there and we must have got one of the rooms that hasn't been renovated yet. ||The sheets on the bed as you walk in we're itchy, the couch had no support for your back so you sat Hunchback in it. There was also dirt between the buttons of the remote control.||The bathtub was scary as it had about an inch of caulking around it that was unprofessionally done, the inside of the bathtub had patching in it, it looked dingy, there was either dirt or mold in the gaps where the caulking didn't touch the tub, the exhaust fan was so clogged it didn't even do any good, and the outlets didn't work. There was a bidet function for the toilet though... lol. ||The shades in the bedroom didn't lower and we couldn't figure out how to raise the shades in the living room / bedroom.||The painting didn't seem to be done professionally as you could tell where the roller touched the ceiling while the walls were being done and the roof must have leaked at one time as there was a huge patch in the ceiling and the water stain was still showing. A lot of patching needs to be done to make the paint look good.||The foot board was installed wrong as it leaned into the bed, the end table next to the couch sloped downward, and the Shelf that the cable box set on was installed crooked.||There was only one tiny bar of soap for our two day stay and only one roll of toilet paper. They never checked to see if we needed anything.||Can't believe they charge $110 a night for the "suite" we had. It was only worth about 50 or $60 a night.
