Grounds are kept nicely during the summer however, the owner raises rent and very single year while simultaneously doing less. When I moved here, the lot rent was around $645 and we had snow removal, mowing in the public areas and a park for kids. Now, 4 years later, the park has trash in it and the jungle gym needs upkeep. There is no snow removal, large public areas are covered in weeds and there are quite a lot of other issues that are not addressed. The cost of the lot rent is quickly pricing a lot of people both on fixed incomes and otherwise, out of the neighborhood. What was once an affordable option for many people has become a money pit for those same people.

The office staff and groundskeepers are all top notch . No one is here to just take the rent. If you have a concern and you tell them about it becomes their concern with a speedy resolution.
They are my friends and make it fun for me to live here. They let me be a part of this community by letting me play Santa for the kids at the resident Christmas party . Don't tell the kids !

I was lucky that I found these reviews before my husband and I purchased a home here. After reading these reviews and going over the prairie greens resident application, it was clear to us that this was a situation we did not want to get ourselves into. Just a ridiculous amount of rules that you are supposed to follow to the point where you don’t even feel like you are buying a home, feels more like you are renting. Especially with the land lease deal, which was odd to begin with. Would not recommend.

Edit: I love how they give mostly the same response to every negative review and then they ask you to contact them. Maybe you should go ahead and look into these issues considering all of the negative reviews you have and quit asking people to call when they have already explained what the problems are. Do better.

We have lived here for about 8 years now and we have seen many changes in staff here Jim and Angi are one of the best, they may not be able to accommodate all of our needs as a community but they sure do their very best. Not everything is in their control. I would recommend this place and the friendly atmosphere. A happy homeowner… Robin LaBarbera

Nice and quiet area. Very green despite the high density of buildings. I was looking to buy a modular home at this location but their land lease policies were a bit of a joke (yes, you read that right. Land lease on a modular home). ~$700 a month on top of the actual price of the home? Talking to a realtor this is apparently for the next 30 years until the lease is paid off, so that they didn't have to roll the price into the home itself. But at an annual inflation of %5 ? Please, just slap the land cost into the mortgage so we can raise the value of the property and bundle it into a mortgage. Nice place to visit, but at those rates I can't suggest buying!

If you are looking to buy a house and be treated decently and fairly I promise you that you will want to look somewhere else other than prairie greens. My girlfriend and I have lived here for about 4-5 months now and have had to contact the office millions of times and so far we have not had a single good interaction with the people who run the community. It’s always rude comments and the people who run the community really could care about nothing other than getting your money into their pockets. DO NOT BUY HERE.

Someone I know recently moved there. It is very clean and the residents are friendly. They workout room is one of the best I have seen and the clubhouse holds events and let's residents use it for parties.
