My 13 year old Jaguar XF finally bit the dust, and I needed to replace it. The dealership provides information on used cars currently on the lot, and I was able to locate a 4 year old XF with low mileage at a reasonable price. I've dealt with this dealership for over 20 years. I have confidence in the head service writer and service manager, and the salesman I met was very helpful as was the Sales Manager. Helpful not pushy. The complexity of car buying has gone way up since my last purchase, but there is excellent teamwork here that gets all the decisions made and forms completed quickly and smoothly. I felt that I got a good deal, and I'm confident that if I need help with the car, these guys will be there for me.

Would recommend getting a second opinion somewhere else for any major maintenance.

I brought in my E-Pace with 30,000 miles in because the car was unable to shift gears properly. After they checked it out the service rep told me it was a known software issue and they would contact me when an update came out.

After months of not hearing back I brought my car back where the second sales rep did everything he could to convince me that’s just how these car’s gearboxes are designed to work. He even had me drive around with him and one of the techs to point out the aggressive shifting I wanted fixed.

I decided to take the car to a different dealership that immediately recognized there were major issues resulting in a transmission replacement along with other maintenance. The car now runs beautifully as it should.

Was it gaslighting because they didn’t want to take on the transmission replacement or just diagnostic negligence? Hard to say but either way I will not be returning.
