Used to be good but quality has gone down and now they also scam you with their advertising. Be careful when you buy their full slabs steaks on sale. They tell you an advertised price but actually charge you full price because they way it before they cut the Steak for you and somehow manage to give you 30% waste. So you pay for 18 lbs on sale but only get 13 lbs of Steak! Total Scam !!! When you ask them for an explanation they tell you that you can buy at regular price !
I won’t be back after more then 10 years

I love this market. It's small, but 99 times out of 100, it has whatever I need to make dinner. They also have fabulous prepared food, a great meats section, and a really good deli! I moved to this area five months ago and probably go here twice a week.

I have been going to Hall's Market for quite a few years, so it pains me to write this review.
I contacted them about their practice of not taring their containers, but they have not messaged me back yet. I went there to get their beet salad, and I noticed that the person behind the counter didn't tare the container. This means that I would not only be paying $5.99 per pound for the salad, but I will be paying that for the container. This is a small number usually, but it adds up over the years. I verified with the employee that he tared the container (he looked like a deer in headlights) and then just asked the other guy behind the counter who said "yeah he did." It was sketchy. So I went home and weighed the container with the salad to verify that he lied to me and it's the same weight! This was extremely disappointing, as I have been a lifelong customer. Customers, please be careful about your weighed items at the store!!!
The beet salad was good, so I can't drop down to 1 star.

I work construction and we have a limited time for lunch ,so we like to order ahead of time, and when we’re in the West Hartford and so far it’s been at least 4 times we call in our lunch order and every time they screw it up , and that’s even after we asked them to repeat the order back to us ,and let’s not forget the nasty attitude you get from them for asking ,them repeat your order so we’re both on the same page never again!!!!! I guess they don’t want new customers

Hall's market is amazing for the record.

Have a problem with an employee who pretended i wasn't at the counter and had to have another teammate ask her to help me.

Rolling her eyes like I am inconveniencing her. Acting like she is doing me a favor and that her time is more valuable than mine.

Do not care what her problem is- you should not treat people like that.

Our family has been buying Hall’s quality meats for nearly thirty years. We just had a company picnic of about 90 people and used Hall’s Catering for the first time and it was amazingly awesome! Great food, good portions, well priced, and they delivered just a few minutes early which also was great. Highly recommend them for any of your needs!

It does not matter how early you call your order in, you will wait in line at the store for 35 minutes. For a cold deli sandwich. They have no grasp on their own capabilities. Do not go here. The food is good, but absolutely not worth the inconvenience.
