Authentic German food complete with singing waitresses. Ticky Tocky, Ticky Tocky, Hoy! Hoy! Hoy!

It was very nice and welcoming upon arrival by the owner and staff on hand.
We arrived at opening and were Immediately seated comfortably and accessible as well as I have an electric transport chair.
There was a refreshing and flavorful opener brought out that consisted of a small bowl of cottage cheese as a garnish and a larger bowl of Sweet German coleslaw. Crackers on the table were also available.
We ordered the very tasty chicken pate and 4 potato pancakes that were unfortunately unevenly cooked, a bit oily on some portions but nice and crispy with a perfect texture inside on others, served with apple sauce and sour cream for the appetizer.
We next had our entrees, a Jaeger schnitzel that was unfortunately slightly burned, a bit dry and tough on the thinner end and pieces. The gravy did wonders to cover the mistake as much as possible and the mashed potatoes were fair.
The Bavarian Salad was good but the Goat Cheese balls were dry and tasteless without dunking them in something.
For the value we found it a little disappointing. Maybe just a bad start to their day.

This has to be the best place in Connecticut. They really take care of their guests. Best attitude and atmosphere. If you can make it on-site for Oktoberfest, they do it right. Wish it lasted for 2 full weeks.

The food was really good and the service was great. Really the only bad thing was that the portions were kind of small and the long hair I found baked into my schnitzel. They didn't charge me for the hairy schnitzel. The stuffed mushrooms were delicious but very small. I'm not a beer drinker usually but I had a couple and they were pretty good. Everything is reasonably priced too. It's a fun meal I'm a big dude, so I left hungry and had to stop and grab something to eat on the way home. Next time I will order more food.

Lovely, spacious German restaurant. Staff was fun and engaged and the food was delicious. My only complaint is that we live too far away to return more often!

Just plain fun!!! Great food, authentic cuisine, wonderful variety of dishes beyond the norm, fantastic atmosphere, great service, all the beer anyone would ever need to drink to become a lover. It's an experience of hospitality and culinary delights at It's best. Our waiter Matt was awesome

From the moment we stepped in, we felt transported to a Munich Bierkeller and were thoroughly impressed by the authentic Bavarian atmosphere. The vibrant colors, waiters in lederhosen, traditional music, and a beautifully decorated venue create an ambiance that captured the essence of a mini Oktoberfest, even on an average weekday night in May. The attention to detail exceeded our expectations.

The menu was filled with classic German dishes, presented in a visually pleasing way that felt genuinely authentic. However, the taste fell short in some areas. We were disappointed to find only one entrée option—lettuce with goat cheese. Considering that over 10% of young adults in Bavaria are vegetarians, a more substantial choice would be appreciated.

The meat dishes were generally okay, but the Spätzle were a significant letdown. They were slimy and bland, lacking the authentic taste we were expecting. Desserts were another area of disappointment. The apple strudel was too dry and slightly overbaked, with apples that weren't soft enough. Additionally, the Black Forest Cake, despite its creative liberties, did not impress. The cake itself was too flaky, and the use of (presumably) Hershey's chocolate syrup and canned whipped cream did not do justice to the renowned German pastry tradition.

Despite some culinary shortcomings, the overall experience was delightful, thanks to the incredible atmosphere and genuine Bavarian vibe.

I have never been to Germany, so I can’t speak about the food being “authentic”. But I DO know when I enjoy a meal and this was ✨delicious! ✨.

The atmosphere in this place is fantastic if you love wonderful hidden gems that are both charming and kitschy (in the best way possible). Glass mugs hanging on the ceiling, servers dressed to the part, a big mural on the back, background music that may or may not make you feel transported someplace else. Service was great too! (Kudos to Jason)

We had the meatballs, the fritters, a delicious onion soup, the black forest cake, some beers, potatoes, and a really great time.

Don’t forget to stop by the little shop/counter on your way out. They have merch and some gorgeous German mugs on display.
