I am quite satisfied with my purchase experience from Karl Chevrolet. Everyone there was both friendly and professional. Dealing directly with the President of the company as my salesperson was far superior to experiences at other dealerships where they always had to “talk to my manager.” There was a mix-up with the plates from my trade, but it was resolved quickly and satisfactorily. I am thrilled that my Silverado is exactly the truck I was looking for. “Zelda” is so beautiful and tows like a dream!

I usually get and oil change and my tires rotated here ever 4k-5k miles because i liked the service i received until recently. i usually pay around 85$ for it. Unfortunately the recent visit i ended up paying 133$ for it which is a significant increase from 4-5 months ago. The service center charges me for a 44k mile package that included and engine cleaner which i did not ask for nor was i even notified about it. my car only has 14000 miles on it as well so it made no sense why i was charge for that package. when i called back to speak to the service desk they said it was a new GM charge of some sort which as well didn’t make any sense on why a 14000 car still needed a engine cleaner. i wasn’t not even notified about this price increase or change in packaging/pricing. all i asked for was an oil change and tires rotation but apparently received more than i wanted. i would not have gotten it done there if i knew of this price change as i have financial issues and nor do i feel comfortable
receiving service there anymore. very disappointing and feeling extortion for money from this recent visit.
EDIT: Karl Chevrolet did reach out to me after noticing my complaint.They helped out with the problem and did resolve it. Knowing that management did not ignore my situation was a relief and will continue doing business with them.

Cameron Evans, in their sales department, did a fantastic job during the entire process. Very informative, up front and honest, and not pushy. Answered all my questions, provided every detail over the phone, text, email, etc.

Fantastic experience especially since I’m not from the area, made it more difficult but not with Cam helping me out, made me feel right at home.

You know how you are trying to find a car dealer to disprove the myth that all dealers are out to get you? Well, this is that hidden charm of a car dealership. I had a fantastic car buying experience. I purchased a used 2020 Bolt EV. Not only did they honor the discounted price as advertised, they worked with me to get the Federal Used EV rebate. Their doc fees we substantially below average for CT. I can't see how other dealerships get away with charging those ridiculous doc fees, when these guys are proving it does not have to be that way when purchasing a car. They disclosed all fees and even those fees were fair and reasonable. This is a family business since 1927 and you can feel the "family" environment when in the dealership. If you are looking for a car, please go in and check them out. Even mention this review!
