Absolute must for all horror, movie, and memorabilia fans!! Count Orlok's Nightmare Monster Gallery was by far my favorite attraction to see in Salem! My wife and I just went yesterday, the Saturday before Halloween and this place was breathtaking as a horror and movie fan, it was the best exhibit I've ever seen. The figures in the museum are life-size and look exactly like the characters in the movies. And they had all of the classic favorites Bela Lugosi as Dracula, Lon Cheney Jr as the Wolf man, Frankensteins monster, Sam from Trick r Treat, Michael Myers, Jason, Freddy Krueger, Vincent Price in the House of Wax and a lot more!! Signed movie picture memorabilia from a lot of these icons as well and other types of memorabilia. The life-size figures looked so real and detailed and the displays were great. Loved the write-ups of the synopsis of each movie as well as some behind the scenes little known facts and trivia. There was nice creepy mood music as you walked through the museum. And to finish it off after the museum there was a really cool gift shop with a lot of fun things to shop for. We were also able to also meet the owner James who greeted customers as they waited in line and he was an absolute pleasure to talk to and I thanked him after for putting together such a great museum. My wife and will definitely be back to see this place many more times, and i felt like I could have spent hours in there, so cool to see this place. Absolute must stop if your going to Salem, you won't be disappointed!! Thanks again James, you made my day!!

This was one of the best museums I visited during my stay in Salem this past weekend. Unfortunately, photos are not permitted, with the exception of the gift shop, and it is understandable as they want all visitors to be surprised with seeing all the awesome exhibits. The details on all the horror figures from the past and present are absolutely extraordinary where they all look lifelike. If you get a ticket online, the cost of admission is $15, plus a $2 fee, and you can spend approximately 20-30 minutes here, depending on if you choose to read the trivia. The staff is friendly and the gift shop is a bit expensive, but they have great gift ideas. They don't have a public restroom, but no worries, as there is one in the Witch Mall. If you are a horror afficionado like myself, then this is definitely one museum you can't pass up while visiting the area.

A MUST for horror fans!!!! We did many museums while in Salem, and Orlaks ended up being the fave! They have an impressive gift shop for all your horror lovers- shop til you drop 😉 The museum itself is around $25 & self guided. They don’t allow photos inside the museum - so it’s a surprise! It’s basically an impressive line up of every horror icon you can think of in the most life like set ups! Lots of fun things to read, see & witness inside! Even if you don’t plan on doing the inside museum, it’s worth poking in to see the gift shop as they have some stuff set up to see before heading in the museum, tons to purchase & just enjoy the vibe! 🎃🎃🎃💀

this is a must visit if you are a fan of old/new horror movies or if you just appreciate special effects prosthetics and makeup. i dont know much about horror but i was still blown away with how detailed and lifelike each wax figure was. every display has a plaque explaining what the character is from and some fun facts about filming. you walk through at your own leisure. the staff was very nice and offered to answer any questions we had. we did not do the trivia portion. you can get in line 15 minutes early and they scan your ticket while there. i made our reservation a few weeks in advance but they had a QR code outside to buy tickets right there. they have a no pictures policy but it makes so much sense why. you can take pictures in the gift shop & it was filled with cute things like earrings, clothes, pins, books, magnets, action figures. JUST GO!!! 15$ is definitely worth it for the experience and i will be recommending it to anyone visiting to salem! (they also had a photo op outside)
