This is a the fantastic restaurant. Excellent traditional Italian menu with many great choices. The Venetian is a Litchfield County classic first opening its doors in 1925. The restaurant has its original hand painted murals which are fun. It is a good sized restaurant but feels cozy and intimate. Great place to go for a business lunch, early dinner, or intimate date night. You won't regret a visit.

I've been here many times for dinner and events and never had a bad meal.
It is located in the heart of Torrington and walking distance to other bars and restaurants.
The new owners have definitely honored the traditional Italian food that has kept this a local landmark.
Staff friendly, plenty of parking.

I stopped in for dinner a couple weeks ago, it was a last minute decision, so I had no reservation, they were very welcoming and accommodating.
I ordered the linguine carbonara which was delicious and a generous portion.
Nice selection, excellent service and plenty of free parking close by.

Very busy night before a show so not a normal night. Food was delicious and hot when it hit the table.

My only gripe was after our order was taken we never saw her ever again. The server in the next section was more helpful.

Great runners, and the manager/owner was very helpful.

Wonderful restaurant and staff. They really helped us in a pinch! We had a party of 20 come in town for our wedding and our “reservation” was “never communicated” at Giovanni’s and they couldn’t serve us. So we last minute called the Venetian. They were so happy and helpful to quickly set up a back room for us! The staff was so patient and kind and pleasant. The food was amazing and they were so incredible for hosting us literally last minute! Even when we had to split the bills, they were so patient. We are so grateful for all they did. Everything was great!

We were a party of 8 tonight. Tracie, the owner took care of us personally. She connected with us instantly. We are a crazy group of friends. Had been high bidders at the Warner annual Gala on a package which included dinner for eight. Tracie made us feel welcome and important guests. She especially cared for gluten allergies and assured us what items were safe for those in our party. She adapted the gift certificate to accommodate everyone in the party.
From appetizers to entrees and desert we were all impressed. As we reflect on the night there is no doubt we all will be regular patrons. Thank you Tracie!

Honestly, food was alright. I had got the chicken parmigiana nothing to special, and it came with a pasta that tasted kinda of bland. It could have been because we had come in a couple of hours before closing, but still. And the service that was my biggest problem. We had walked in a group of 3 of us. Seen the servers look right at us and overheard them bickering about who was going to sit and service us, and even after that, they still took them a while. With literally the whole place empty except a couple of people still there. That was a bad first impression for me. But the girl who did serve us was nice and patient. My problem was the other ones we could hear them talking about us. Which I didn't like. I will most likely not be returning. Didn't get pictures of the other food we got.
