Boss shop. Best in Widnes. Get me protein drinks in there and then smash me workout at the best gym JD Gym Widnes which is right by it. Then I go back in poundland after to refuel on a £3 meal deal

Great great place at the retail park out here at Windes.. There is so much choice from reasonably priced creams shower stuff to a big selection of clothes for kiddies and men's and women's range...Very friendly staff who were helpful and knowledgeable about the area as we'd never been out this far from the city centre... Recommend this place to all suncreams last minute holiday shop before heading away ...

Called in Widnes Poundland Saturday afternoon 25/2/2023 looking for some bubble wrap !
I was helped by a young lady called Chloe . She couldn’t have done enough to help. What a lovely helpful courteous person, and a great member of your customer facing staff.

I've always loved this shop for its good value and variety. I'm happy to say that this has actually improved recently with the reduction of tatty imports stocked.

Lovely, staff and always welcoming and cheerful! Nothing is too much when you ask them for something you can't find! And I can honestly say they work so hard! They are a credit to Poundland

Everything's a pound at Poundland ! or is it ?

Sneaking more & more items in to the store at a premium price, to make you believe you're still getting the bargain. Sometimes you don't realise that item is costing you more, other times you're there & don't realise the bargain you're picking up is quite cheaper elsewhere.

Still plenty of bargains, but just be careful. They're just after your money, at the end of the day so can't blame them, but need to change their slogan to " most things a pound at Poundland".

If you're counting your pennies, like most of us are in these troubled times, check before you buy.

£3 & £5 items don't belong in a store that is called Poundland & lives on the premise that everything is a pound, unless you set aside a section for more premium prices & state that "this area is for premium products". Until you do this, you're just another corporate looking to gain through ignorance.

Sorry Poundland, but your promises don't live up !

Pound shops have become a regular feature in widnes and appear to have a large customer base. When I visited today there was a very large queue and alot of angry customers. The queue had over 30 people in and yet the store neglected to monitor this and had only 1 member of staff on the tills. This increased to 2 eventually despite there being an abundance of staff on the shop floor. With the current covid crisis I would have thought the main priority was not only customer monitoring but ensuring staff keep queuing time to a minimum to avoid exposure. A key disappointing factor was that not 1 member of staff enforced the wearing of face masks despite the store being packed and signs being clearly placed around the store.
