This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. This was my first visit to the brewery, although I tried several of their beers before.

The brewery is located in a historic firehouse and the setting they have looks awesome. You can see multiple pieces of equipment on display as well as an old firetruck. The brewery has 2 floors and a big amount of indoor space to host events. No food is served onsite, but I spotted a food truck outside.

While I loved the environment, I could not say the same about beers. You can order a beer flight of 4, so for this review I tried all the beers they had on tap. While the beers themselves were perfectly fine, they were not memorable at all. This review is written in a couple of days after my visit, and I already do not remember any specific beers from my sets. That doesn't mean that they are bad, just that all of them are very safe choices without anything outstanding.

This place would be a perfect spot for an event, a hangout or if you're local. If you like to try new craft beers, then it might not be worth it to drive here.

I'll preface that I'm not a fan of pets in public places, especially where food and drinks are served. But this brewery is very big and spacious indoors that I felt comfort with all the dogs there. The beer was fantastic. I liked that there's space for all sorts of events. Those with little kids, those on dates, those who want to watch TV/sports, those who want to hang, host parties, private rooms can be reserved, etc. I will definitely come back.

Update....
I've been to 6 events, and I still think it's a cool place for parties .
The one problem is there are no beer taps upstairs, so you order a beer at the bar, and then the bar tender has to run downstairs to get your beer.
Don't get me wrong, it's a cool place, but the bad dog owners need to put taps upstairs.
Or at least a cooler with beer so you don't have to wait.

Impressive space. It's huge, with high open ceilings and the industrial look that's been popular for awhile, but also melds a warm interior into the vibe with a lot of natural wood repurposed into table and bar tops, exposed brick, small rooms within the open spaces and comfortable seating. Modern canvas art abounds the walls. Big windows allow light and views of the blocks in the neighborhood. Two floors allow large rooms for both customers and events. Live music is provided on the lower level by local musicians. There is an antique firetruck on display in homage to the firehouse that was once located here.

Returning here twice in one week for private parties, one small and one large in terms of people, both ran smoothly. Food has to be brought in for an event or can be purchased from a nearby pizza place, deli or food truck on hand. The beer is fresh and there is enough variety for any enthusiast. On both occasions, I had the Black Lab IPA, and my partner had the Apple Cider and Mulligan's Red. Friends at the second gathering had the Vienna Ale which they gave high remarks. Wine is also available. The host of the first gathering brought in pizza from Sasso's Coal Fired Pizza, which I've reviewed a few times, and the hosts of the other occasion brought in a variety of sandwich wraps from Alfredo's Deli and pizza from Nicholas Pizza.

The owners did such a good job re-doing the firehouse as a brewery. Went to the soft opening & several times after as I can’t stay away from a good food truck! All staff is very kind & knowledgable. I love that they also have wine from Sunset Meadows there along with other flavored beers from another brewery. In time their beer will get better. Kuddos to them for opening during the pandemic.

I came here on a Sunday afternoon before seeing a play in the nearby Warner Theatre. Boy am I glad we stopped in!
The brewery is in an old firehouse and had a great theme throughout. The decor was perfect and you literally sit in the old bays where the trucks were.
The folks inside were so friendly and quick to offer recommendations and explain the place. There was an outdoor patio, an upstairs with tvs, and the big downstairs near the bar. A super nice layout.
They had a 12 tasting flight, the biggest I've ever seen, and loved to be able to try all the beers. The hefeweizen was really good followed by the Vienna ale.

What a wonderful clean atmosphere, as a firefighter I love the historical value of the building and the items through the building. Lots of room to distance your group and plenty of private spots to kick back and have one of their good selection of crafted beers. They also have some local wines. Matt the owner showed us around and is very excited to show off the firefighter and police pride he has.

Love the sours at this brewery and it’s amazing that it is dog friendly!! I brought Daisy today and the staff was super accommodating, they filled her water bowl, and she met the patrons who wanted to meet her. Great aesthetic and atmosphere with multiple flatscreen tvs broadcasting the games. Awesome time here, per usual:)
