I lived here for a year, and while the apartment was spacious and beautiful, the overall quality was lacking. I encountered several issues with appliances, though the maintenance team was always helpful. Unfortunately, the leasing office wasn’t much support—they were friendly, but it seemed like they either weren’t trained properly or didn’t know how to handle problems, which seemed to be a common complaint among residents. There was also an incident of robbery in my building, where police blocked off all the entrances, but we were never informed about what happened, which was really frightening. The gym and pool are small for the size of the complex, with five buildings sharing them. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend living here.

Parking is an issue and people have NO WHERE TO PARK, nothing gets fixed, apartments are cheaply made, office is useless and very rude. The package room is a mess so you’ll have to hunt for your stuff. Many unhappy tenants, car break-ins and they won’t put the gates down. Not worth the price ALL. Also the amount of pollution from the highways is something that should be considered if you have allergies. Most importantly please check all registries if you have children.

The complex is filled to the brim with piles of dog poop. There was even dog turds in the hallway for over 2 days that management was aware of but did nothing about. You have to dodge the piles on the sidewalk like landmines.

It is disgusting and unsanitary.

Living here has been awful, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. There’s children running the leasing office. No one EVER calls or emails you back about ANYTHING. When you go to them with a problem in person you’re told “idk”. There’s been dog poop smeared into the carpet in the hallway I have to walk through everyday for 7 days now. No one seems to care. Don’t move here.

Clean, quiet and private. One's own (perfect but temporary) home in another's house. Next best nest of tranquility!

We moved into The Residents at Main in June 2024 and immediately regretted our decision. The biggest issue we’ve experienced has been the mail. The community didn’t provide USPS the necessary information to create our address in the postal service database. When we tried to complete our change of address, our address didn’t exist which has resulted in us not receiving mail for over a month. The community kept telling us it was the local post office’s fault, but never once offered to assist us in resolving the issue. After working with USPS, we learned it was our community who didn’t do what they were supposed to do. The community’s negligence and avoidance has created a cascade of huge issues for us. A few of the issues this has created for us: I had a passport in process which I paid extra to expedite to receive by 7/1/2024, but they cannot send it to me until I have an address recognized by the postal service. I haven’t been able to update my address for professional licenses, which I am required by law to do within 30 days and am now past that period. We’ve had to drive back to the city we moved from to collect our mail since we had to put it on hold until we have an address, that is a 2 hour round trip.

Since the office staff wasn’t helpful at all in getting this resolved, I tried to contact the property manager, but Garden Communities refused to provide me with his/her contact information. I’ve never lived somewhere that doesn’t provide you with a manager’s information. I was told I would need to send an email to a general inbox, and it would be forwarded to the property manager. It has now been 4 business days and I’ve heard nothing in response to my email.

There have been other issues, mainly the quality of the build and workmanship. We are on the 4th floor and the kitchen literally shakes when we, for example, shake a condiment or walk across the room. You hear EVERYTHING in the building. Insulation and materials used to build are apparently cheap. The workmanship was sloppily done and when we asked to have some things touched up, we were told they don’t do cosmetic repairs. But when you move out, you will absolutely pay for cosmetic repairs. Our unit is brand new, so we should have received a perfect unit. We’ve noted our issues (scratches on the floor, dent in the refrigerator, marks on the walls, patio door misalignment), which is what I would advise anyone moving here to do. More than anything, I would advise you not to move in. The lack of care for their tenants is obvious, and it saddens me to be financially supporting a business like Garden Communities. Also, our unit wasn’t even cleaned before we moved in. There was construction debris coated on the floor.

Unfortunately, there aren’t great rental options in this area, so for people needing to rent the options are slim (hence why communities can get away with this stuff). If you choose to rent here, I highly recommend that you make sure the community has an actual address recognizable in the USPS system. Lastly, the pool area looks nothing like the photo on the website. It’s all cheap seating and lounge chairs with no pergola. We didn’t realize before moving in here how important a nice outside space was to us, and here unless you’re at the pool, which is the caliber of a cheap motel, there’s nowhere to hang out outside. Plus, the pool hours are 10am-7pm. You have no access to that area or the community room outside of those hours (most people's working hours). This is unlike other communities we have lived in and toured.

Message to Garden Communities: Please do not respond with a generic apology for our experience and asking us to contact you for resolution. We have physically visited the office several times, we have emailed and called the staff at this location several times, and we have now emailed the general mailbox to speak with the property manager. You have our information; this is a known issue, and it has been ignored. You contact us to remedy this inexcusable situation.

The new construction is beautiful. There are still some buildings under construction but the apartment is absolutely gorgeous! I love the appliances, quartz countertop and all the fixtures. Even the maintenance crew is prompt and fix your issues immediately.

The only downside is mailing and packages. Sometimes my packages don't get delivered to the right building and it's a little inconvenient to drive to Monroe Post office to pick up mail. They are trying to fix the mail issue which is really appreciated.
