Great haunted house!!! Very good presentation. WELL worth the $5 to get in. And all proceeds are donated to a local animal shelter for food and heating oil for the winter!

Yes the wait can be long but you have to understand that it is in a private home and groups of people are taken through so everyone can get their own personal experience. There is a whole story to the house that is explained in parts as you enter each room. There are ghouls and monsters that keep the waiting line on their toes. And will even stop to take a pic with you upon your request.

Unfortunately since this is in a private home and in a neighborhood there are no public restrooms or out houses on the premises. The closest bathroom is a Wawa that is close by.

I supply one of my hearses and occasionally appear in costume to scare all that dare.... Lol.

So don't let the wait of the line scare you into not going. You'll be glad that you waited once you get in!!! But..... you might not get out..... ALIVE!!!! HAHAHAHA!!!

Worth the price of admission. This isn't one of those big overly advertised haunted attractions, it's a smaller haunted house run by volunteers and all the proceeds go to charity. It is very well done with a new theme each year. Lots of actors to scare and entertain you while you wait in line. For a charity haunted house there is a lot of production value. We brought our twin teen sons and I thought it may be too tame for them but the entire family had a great time! The actor in the elevator was incredibly entertaining and was the highlight of the night! Very well done, we will be going again next year!

This is the first time going to the Hockessin Haunted House and wanted to try it especially because the proceeds go towards animal rescue. We waited in line for 2 1/2 hours which we didn't mind but by the time we got into the house, everything was rushed and in one part of the house one of the actors stated aloud that he forgot his line (the embalming room). So for 2 1/2 hours waiting in the cold to spend 10-15 minutes inside and be rushed around, I'm not sure it was worth it even for the $5. I don't think we will be going back next year but we tried it, the decorations outside were great. There were even people who left the line while waiting because it was too long of a wait and too cold.
