Refused a £50 note as it did not go through their machine at the petrol pump.. absolute joke. What is £50 now a days anyway? If you are employing 'cashiers' surely counterfeit training should be provided as a bare minimum. Not only that, they made me feel like I've done something wrong by handing them one.. like I'm some sort of criminal.

Extraordinarily rude staff on the self service tills. The woman "serving" me today made no eye contact, uttered not a single word, talked into her ear phone thing to someone else the whole time. Surely if these people are there to help customers they should at least be friendly and helpful, not miserable!! This isn't by far the first time I've felt this but today she was exceptionally rude! Grrr.

Tidy Tesco store. Well stocked and open until midnight every night except Sundays. Has a petrol station attached too. Just short walk from Rugeley town centre.

An easy to get to, large Tesco on one floor. Tons of free parking (free for 3 hours) and a fuel station on-site. Bright and welcoming with a large selection of goods. The little cafe - where H and I had breakfast - is clean and tidy and offers a good range of food at decent prices. The staff - especially Kerry - is delightful.

Clearly don't think much of the people in Rugeley just thier bottom line.

Had a resh Deli counter when the store opened now closed to save money on staff and produce. Now replaced with mass manufactured highly processed cheap rubbish but at least you saved your self a few penny's on staff.

Had a great barkery, fresh crusty bread. Now closed staff gone replaced with shipped in frozen bread just reheated in store. The bread is literally half the size of any other stores with a real bakery but still the same price. Genuinely now the worst bakery I have ever seen it should be embarrassing but all they care about is thier bottom line.

Having spoke to an ex bakery employee who has now taken early retirement due to the conditions she had to work in I can't belive you haven't been closed down by h&s (she was worth the weight in gold and was the ONLY person who bothered to clean under the ovens as she retired nearly a year ago your next health inspection should be interesting)

Used to stock lots of fresh organic fruit and veg now just a token few....but once again saves tesco a few pennies and the people of Rugeley don't need quality we're just scum. The non organic fruit n veg is now the price that the organic used to be.

Used to have lots of free range and organic chicken, guess what not anymore. All of your chicken is now corn fed which is gm (genetically modified) and no organic chicken at all.

Used to have lots of different beef joints, top rump, salmon cut, silverside now just generic "roasting joints" some of the worst meat ive ever tasted. Luckily Morristons in Rugeley still has a real butcher's with every cut of beef imaginable.

Milk, cream and cheese with today's best before date doesn't get reduced until the evening and is left on the shelf leaving the elderly and people without 20/20 vision needed to see the dates with pints of milk they have to use that day.. .at full price!

I now have now completely given up on this tradgic store and do my shopping at sainsburys in cannock who have a Deli counter, a real bakery, lots of organic fruit and veg and the but that surprised me most....its cheaper!

Your opinion of the people of Rugeley is clear to see by your produce we're just scum to you. Any self respecting local residents should boycott this sh*t show of a store. Use Morrisons and Aldi if you want local or drive to the obviously more upmarket town of cannock (at least in tescos view!)

As a frequent shopper to Tesco Rugeley I cannot believe how poorly stocked the shelves are ! When I talk with staff the are so unhappy with the management and I have to agree. The front of store is always dirty with rubbish strewn around and there is a lack of presence from the store manager or senior managers
When the new Aldi opens in front of Tesco they will hurt Tesco more than you can imagine

Convenient store and friendly staff but stocks are awful. There is so much out of date food and rotting veg left on shelves. And now seemingly no bakery or fresh bread. This is an example of a superstore killing off local butchers and bakers by bringing the ‘expertise’ in store then binning them off once there is no local competition left. Forcing residents back to pre packed rubbish. This store will suffer badly when the new Aldi/lidl is built next door. For a short while at least.
