Everyone was very friendly and knew their job well. The optometrist was excellent during my exam and answered all my questions. The only reason for the 4 star rating rather than a 5 star was because I thought I was there solely for a diabetic screening referred to them by my doctor. I did not expect to order a pair of glasses, which there was only a very slight change in my distant vision. I do not think a pair of glasses for that minimal change in my vision warranted wearing glasses, but on the other hand the doctor knows better than I do.

Everything about my visit went smoothly. I did not have to wait; the tech was pleasant and obviously competent; the Dr explained everything and looked throughly at the results of my scans. Lastly, I found a new style of frames and a pair of sunglasses that were marked down so I actually could afford to buy what I wanted. Thanks to all who helped me today!!

Definitely one of the most comprehensive and informative eye exams I have had. Staff was professional and communicated with me before, during, and after my appointment. The attention to detail and consideration of my previous prescriptions ensured my new prescription is accurate for safe driving.

We have gone to Kenai Vision for 14 years, with yearly exams for everyone in my family. I have often felt that many pricey exams and tests have been ordered unnecessarily as a "money grab," but have politely declined most additional tests, and continued returning for service because we love Dr. Karpik. Recently though, the eyeglass employee quoted my lenses off by $136, and I was sent a remaining balance due. This is a pretty big error. Upon returning to the office to pay my bill, the staff member apologized for her mistake, but the billing manager refused to comp any of the mistake. She blamed my insurance, but it was definitely a big error made by the employee.
That's fine. I paid what I owed, but likely will not be returning for future care with my family. There are a lot of other vision businesses in our area to try that likely have better prices anyway. On another note, my contact wearing friends in town were shocked to hear that I paid $360 (that's the discount for paying cash) for a contact fitting fee. I was told I would have to pay this fee every year I ordered contacts, even if I was ordering the same kind. That's pretty excessive. The office itself is newly remodeled and very clean and modern. (That remodel was probably pricey and needs to be paid for. Haha)

Had something removed from my left eye today, I called in without an appointment and they fit me right in,. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and the office is modern, immaculate, and inviting, and they even had a play area that kept my kiddos nicely occupied. The Dr. had amazing bedside manner and removed the object in my eye painlessly and quickly. Honestly I was pretty shocked at how smooth things went. She did a thorough check to see if anything else was there causing irritation, and I was happily on my way in less than an hour.

They greet you when you walk in. The check in is very quick and I waited maybe 5 minutes before I was taken back for my eye care assessment! I was having a bad day, and by the time they were done with me I felt better because of their kindness! Thank you to their whole team!

My short review for what's it's worth.

I've been coming to the Kenai vision center for years now and it's always been spotlessly clean inside and very well organized especially after they recently remodeled the entire store.

I find the store extremely roomy with lots of eyeglass frames to choose from in stock.

But most importantly they use the state of the art equipment for evaluating your eyes.

Last but not least is the quality of the personnel they have been nothing but professional and curious on every one of my appointments and they have always run on time I don't have to sit there for hours waiting past my appointment time and my time is valuable and that's important to me.
