Horrible customer service, me and my friend tried to return his costume and this employee told us that we could not because it has dog hair on it, which is understandable. The way she told us this was extremely rude, she told us "anyone who buys this costume will be sent to the hospital" and my friend responded with "oh, really" and after his comment she told us to get out, then proceeded to tell the door guard to not let us back in the store, even tho we did not do anything wrong. After a few minutes we walked back in to take a picture of her, and she told us she called the police on us.

Bought a motion spider that did not work out for me. As I was purchasing the item the cashier said to me hang on to your receipt in case you need to return any of your items. The manager Jody states very rudely to me that it is not resalable because it is opened. I explained that the packaging is in perfect condition and the product has not been used. I asked to speak to someone else maybe the owner. She stated I am the owner and grabbed the items , threw them back into the bag and said I want you to leave. She asked one of her men employees to remove me from the store. She states Clovis PD on their way. I said that is fine. I now have to take her to small claims court per PD.

It's a must visit during Halloween but dont expect too much help. The cash register people need people training. The lady who rung me up was a bit rude. My first and second visit, I donated and rounded up my change to help with some children organization. On my third visit, I decided not to donate nor round up my change and I felt pressured to do so and she said in a annoyed tone, "you really don't want to round up?" And shook her head in annoyance. It left a bad impression of the folks they hired.

Another instance of bad customer service is that personnel working the floor; I asked about the Step Pads and he had no idea of what I was talking about. He had no knowledge of what a remote or step pad trigger was and eventually said that they don't carry it. I, of course, found it on my own. Please hire folks who at least know something about the products you carry.

My daughter and her friend went to get Halloween costumes and were accused of stealing, yelled at and had the police called on them. They were told they had it on video. They were told they were banned from the store. Cops show up and my daughter and friend are scared and upset. My daughter asks the cop to please look at the cameras. He does, and comes back saying they clearly didn't steal anything. No apology from the manager and still banned them from the store even after being cleared. What an asshole of a manager you have at the Clovis store. Two other young employees did apologize to them out of their managers view. What a way to ruin a trip to the store that was suppose to be fun costume shopping.

Beware fraudulent business practices! They do not honor their exchange policy, in many of their items are very poorly made. My daughter purchased a costume with a plastic sword. Shortly after taking the plastic sword out of the package and playing with it, without it colliding with anything whatsoever, it broke in half near the hilt. When we attempted to return it for an exchange, the manager without discussing our use of it whatsoever announced that we have been using it inappropriately and refused to honor their policy. We have shopped here for over 20 years but today they lost a customer. I would strongly recommend against shopping here.

Don't go to this garbage store if you want to return something not only did I have to wait a long time just to return something the two old women who were the boss and manager or something were smelling the costume like I had done something to it and passed it
around to other employees in front of me. They said it had a sour odor when there literally was no smell and I had never opened it at all before then

Had to go drive to a different spirit Halloween and get my refund because of the old ladies at this one denied my refund because of the non-existent odor

I visited this Spirt and bought a costume without trying it on due to the lack of dressing rooms at this store. Once I got home, my costume was too big so I went back to the store to return it (which is part of the store’s policy). My costume had dog hair on it so my return was declined. I understood that the dog hair is unhygienic but the employee/ manager was extremely rude about it. When i walked in she was screaming at another employee and when I proceeded to make my return she was impolite and bad-mannered. She was disrespectful and dehumanizing towards my friend and I. She said that the dog hair would send the next buyer to the hospital. She forced security to kick the both of us out and said she was calling the police on us. I am extremely disappointed in the costumer service that my friend and I recevied. I will not be recommending this store to anyone interested and I am appalled by the severity of the manager/ employees rudeness.

The team at the Clovis store was very kind and helpful. In fact, when I had questions about fog machine juice, the associate was well-versed in the product, the output, and helped me understand what to purchase. A total win!
