It was a fun day with friends and family. We went on Friday, and we bought tickets online. It's not a long line to get in if you have a ticket.

We were not here for the fair itself. It was the venue for a robotics competition that my son was in. We did enjoy the atmosphere and some delicious food. I loved the variety of food vendors. You had your typical fair food but there was also a wide choice of others.

The lady at the ticket entrance ruined my entire first visit. There was a confrontation over my mask, which I was trying to explain that I had another, more appropriate mask to change to, but the lady was yelling at me, shaming me, and threatened to kick me out before I could even get a word in. I have social anxiety, and this was my first time here. My friend and I came all the way from Dothan and were tired, but we looked forward to this. After this incident, which the lady STILL wouldn't leave me alone when I was trying to calm down, I was shaking and upset the entire time there. If she had politely asked and listened to me, I would have changed masks and went on my way with a smile. I had a spare for a reason (I wear the original mask everywhere, but understand some establishments might not allow it). But upon getting there I felt shamed, belittled, and unheard. I will not be going back, but I do wish for improvement and success for this fair's future, and for possible training for welcomers to be nicer to people who might have things they dislike or aren't allowed.

My Grandsons spent the week with me and yesterday was there last day here with and we decided to come to the fair and I’m glad we did because they had blast,

Just attending my kid's vex robotics competition. We were charged $15 a piece and $5 for parking. The stands were empty unlike when it was held at Auburn University. Security was too much for such a simple event, but I guess they want to justify the ticket prices. And, to add insult to injury, once you are in, you are locked in. You can not use you ticket for re-entry. It is only a kids competition for God's sake!

Edit: I did not and do not want to go to the fair. I was forced to pay for fair tickets just to attend my kid's robotics competition which is truly unfair. You could have cordoned off the competition from the fair.

Been waiting for the fair ever since June. I'm so excited for this upcoming Monday gonna take a bunch of pictures and videos, there is really no place like the alabama national fair, can't wait to see you all soon

I wish I could attend the upcoming Alabama National Fair, but I refuse to be a victim at this gun free zone. Everyone knows the criminals will get their guns in. Since I have a permit to carry and am a law abiding citizen I would have to give up the God given right of self defense.
