Store clerk aggressively refused to sell to me, a 35-year old, because of my out-of-state Massachusetts ID. I even offered to present an alternative form of ID. I grew in up in Hamden and was in town visiting my family. Used to shop at this location frequently. You can't fix stupid, but there's a right way and a wrong way to do things.

I was stopping to get coffee next door. This place is so MASSIVE, I had to go in. And they did not disappoint. Options galore. Unfortunately, they didn't have what I was looking for. But, I won't hold that against them, I can't seem to find this specific bottle of wine anywhere in CT. I've been to several places all over the state, nobody stocks it. I love that I was able to wander the aisles without feeling like I was being watched or hovered over. The staff was friendly. When I looked a little lost a young man came up to ask if I needed help. As I headed to the door empty handed an older gentleman asked if I needed help. I don't have time today, but I'll be back to wander some more & actually make a purchase. I saw a lot Pinot Noir's I'd love to try. And I want to check out the whisky aisle. In my haste, I did not analyze prices. I’ll update after I revisit.

Good selection but watch their pricing. Signage showed one price, and when it rang up higher they did not honor the posted price. I was told "state law, prices went up today" which is fine, but you should really change that sign or honor it so you don't lose customers.

Great selection, have a lot of hard to find beverages and wines! Only thing is the girl that always rings me out is rather short with me and kind of rude, I’m guessing it’s because I’m not wearing a mask (which is currently not a state requirement) because she and the other employees where much nicer when I wore a mask back when the mandate was active. If stores want to enforce or strongly encourage a mask; they should do it in a more polite and direct way (rather than being snippy and passive aggressive), or at least have large signs and or posters explaining your position. You catch more flys with honey than vinegar, I will try wearing a mask here in the future and I’ll see whether or not anything changes in terms of attitude or treatment. I miss the old days of customer service and people actually caring about their customers opinions and the gratefulness of where they choose to spend their hard earned money.

I come here weekly, ever since they switched over to centralized purchasing they have nothing in stock. Al was really good and once they fired him they have nothing in stock.
