1/4/25-We gave this another chance today and we are satisfied with our experience and the amazing pilots. We recognize the progress and hard work taken in the organization of this event and appreciate what you are offering to children of our community. Thank you for giving us this opportunity!

We are truly disappointed in the communication and inconsiderate actions with the airport manager yesterday 12/7/24 at Arcadia airport. Our son was signed up to participate in the young eagles program from 8-11 and we showed up promptly before his time slot and she would not allow him to fly because she stated we “missed the safety meeting”. There were no phone calls regarding a mandatory safety meeting time nor email stating to be there for this specific time slot. She broke his heart. We will not be back. Very sad that she acted like doing another quick safety meeting was so inconvenient. So very inconsiderate and RUDE.

Husband and I flew in last night. What a fantastic experience! The airport is charming. The staff is wonderful. We camped overnight next to our plane (which we thought was so fun:)) and made s'mores, hotdogs over a bonfire. Jinsy went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The pooch even loved it! We will be back. Highly recommend the overnight camping. The also have food trucks on Tuesdays, which we will be going too.

I would like to know why every Sunday one plane has to circle and circle and circle our community? We can't have an outdoor gathering because we have to pause every time he flies over because it's so loud. I don't understand why he can't fly somewhere else

Fantastic airport, the staff is wonderful! This is another great airport to fly into and go camping. Nice clean restrooms, a canopy area with tables, cooking gear, and refrigerator. Park your plane in the wooded area and pitch your tent under a wing. Have fun!

Such a nice airport to fly into for food truck Tuesday! They also have killer deals on av gas which is a plus. It is very busy so fly in early or you will be in the grass behind hangars. They have taco trucks, bbq trucks and an icee food truck with live music. People bring lawn chairs and line up next to the taxiway to watch planes take off and land. The only change I could ask for would be to have their own private ctaf because everyone was talking over each other and you are tossed in with Okeechobee and Clearwater radio traffic. Was so crazy. Ill definitely go back!

This airport won Best General Aviation Airport of the year 2020 (not sure who awarded this) and its easy to see why. Can’t say enough good things about this little airport. Great staff who are welcoming and helpful. If you meet Shelley you’ll be in great hands. Friendly Camaraderie is the norm. Cheap fuel, a grass and paved runway. Be careful of the dip one third of the way down runway 24. They have a crew car that is perfect for the ride to get some food but you can also come for Taco Tuesday 10am - 3pm each Tuesday and join the throes of enthused aviators who fly or drive in for the weekly highlight. There’s a campground attached to the airport and with spots to park your plane and pitch your tent.

The Friends of Arcadia Airport, Foaa.us, is a local pilot organization and a model for proactively enhancing the viability of their local airport, supporting local businesses thru enhanced tourism and creating an absolutely wonderful recreational aviation resource for fellow pilots.

Foaa has created a "Camp in the Woods With Your Plane" facility where pilots, planes, and tents are welcome. Parking is in aircraft size nooks among the mature trees, similar to what one might find in a RV resort. Water and electricity are available as well as a large covered pavilion with picnic tables and grills. A RAF style fire pit surrounded by brick pavers and a lovely new shower, restroom building finish off the facilities.

Aviators can enjoy nearby Airboat Tours, Quiet Canoe Trips, Horseback Riding, Antiquing, Historical Tourism, Shopping, Swamp Buggie Tours and more. Local transportation is available.
