Out of apples, but still a great experience picking Bartlett Pears today. Cider donuts are a must — and the coffee hit the spot.

ALSO — the GPS location that this listing took us to WAS NOT correct. I mean, yes, it’s still Averill Farm, but it’s not the entrance to the current shop and stands. We sat in our car for a minute, then decided to keep looking up the road just in case. So - don’t be discouraged when you do not see the correct entrance.

NOTE to Averill Farm owners — might be helpful if you added a permanent sign directing us to the “new” entrance.

Hot tip!! If it’s a busy weekend day and you want apple cider donuts, order them at the farm stand before you go to pick apples - today the wait time was 30-40 minutes for the fresh donuts. They are delicious and worth getting, but that’s my tip for y’all. The cider is also great.

Lots of varieties of apples (and a couple pears!) they accept cards. Lower fields may be muddy if it’s been rainy.

This is my favorite place to come every year! The fam stand is extremely cute with some of the best apple cider donuts! The Cortland apples are my favorite! The views are a can’t miss when the foliage starts to change colors! When they have the pizza food truck you should definitely stop for a visit!

This is such a wonderful orchard. Offers warm apple cider (or cold), the BEST apple cider donuts, or turnovers and holiday pies, fresh apples and pears, pumpkins, jams, jellies, honey, apple butter, and I’m sure I have forgotten something. Customer service is always excellent. Beautiful scenery. Nice fall outing.

I love this farm. Great place to pick your own apples. The apple cider donuts are the best I've ever had!!! They're always so friendly, just such a beautiful place. Will always be my go to apple picking spot.

Averill Farm is the best place to pick apples. They have a wide variety of apples rotating throughout the season. What they have that others do not - history; a beautiful scenic view where the rolling hill provides a 360 view of the area, no charge to enter or park, and well kept grounds. They keep the orchard clean of rotting fruit which helps keep the bees away from your apple picking adventure. I’ve searched for other orchards closer to where I live and no one comes close to Averill. If I have the opportunity to go, I will. It’s fun for literally any age. The pizza truck is a nice addition! I hope you have 10 more generations ahead.

This place was highly recommended for fall. The pizza truck was part of the rave, and that was definitely good. My group had the herbalicious, the cheese, and the orchard pies, all three were fantastic, although the herb was a little too salty. The farmstand had delicious cider donuts and hot cider for $1 each. We didn't pick some this trip, but they were diverse and plentiful. There are so many rows of trees. A lovely place to enjoy fall.

The best apple cider in the area by far! Slightly tart, yet still sweet. Amazing flavor.

Despite going on a windy day, our family still had a good time picking apples.

We bought a dozen apple cider donuts as we were leaving. They realized with the next customer that the batch didn't cook all the way through. They came out to the car to have me come back in; they refunded the donuts to our card. "I don't care what you do with them, but I can't charge you for them knowing they're like that." We ended up baking them when we got home. Upstanding people and GREAT donuts!
