My husband and I came here the day after Christmas to celebrate our last dating anniversary. We just got married this year, but we've been together for 7 years, so we figured we'd celebrate it one more time. Our server was very nice and helpful. We got the crabcake appetizer to start, which was good. My Mahi was fresh and delicious. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because my husband wasn't crazy about his pork chop. It was a bit dry. The creme brulee was well done, and we appreciated the anniversary flair. There was also a port wine cocktail, which I haven't really seen anywhere else. It was amazing. I would come back for that alone.

Had reservations 2 weeks in advance. The day before, they called to inform that the menu was being to be changed, to a limited menu, well knowing that you would not be able to get reservations for Valentines Day anywhere else the day before. So basically you were stuck with them.

The food I am indifferent about. For the appetizer, the crab cake was not full of succulent lumped crab meat but of shredded crab, mostly filler. The collards it was on top of were good but disappointingly too sweet.

Talk about a gut bomb, one of the “few” items they had was a 24oz pork chop served with grits. 24oz of meat with grits?! Well I had to try it, to my disappointment, chop was fried and bland with chili chimichurri sauce on top. Not a bit of seasoning on the meat. I had them switch the grits to another side when I ordered (one of the few they had).

My company had the surf and turf, the lobster was cooked perfectly and had great flavor.

The dessert had a misprint on the menu. Only 4 options to choose from, I went with the lava cake because the cheesecake was infused with raspberry instead of on top, they had coconut cake, and some kind of strawberry mousse. Not a fan of raspberry, coconut cake or mousse, I went with the cake. The lava cake was more of a brownie, when I cut into it, no “lava.” The ice cream on top was more of ice milk.

The best thing I probably had all night was the pecan old fashioned which could have been dinner and dessert as far as I’m concerned.

The service Rei provided was great! The overall two stars represents the inconvenient menu changes at the last minute, tying our hands. If we had of known about this in advance I’m sure we would have chosen elsewhere. Not to mention not so great huge pork chop that was raved about, but was so disappointing (bland with a sauce on top).

Originally, when the reservation was made, you could tell that they were going to be full. I think the menu changes deterred many people because while we were there, many of the tables were empty, and the bar with the cheeseburger and fries, seemed like the place to be.

My husband and I went to Azurea to celebrate his birthday and from the moment we walked in we were in awe. The aesthetics were stunning— felt like you were walking into an underground water tunnel. So beautiful! The hostess was very welcoming and kind, she even gave us a birthday card signed by the staff — SO thoughtful! ☺️ our waiter Brian was absolutely the best! He provided superb service and even gave us a dessert on him ❤️ And lastly the food — it was divine!! From the appetizers to the main course and the drinks and dessert! Highly recommend for a special date night!

We tried the sea bass, tenderloin and the scallops. The scallops were really good, great flavors, cooked well and good portion size, highly recommend. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that our experience was a good one. The ambiance is perfect and I highly recommend sitting a booth for a more intimate experience.

Came here for the location + look of the restaurant on my anniversary. It was relatively empty, so we expected a smooth dinner service. Our waitress was kind, but we had long wait times, which was confusing cause the place was nearly empty. We were excited to have an intimate, romantic dinner and had let the staff know it was our anniversary, but a family of 4 were seated next to us with screaming children who ended up being so loud, that it ruined the experience for us.

We got the sea bass and grouper specials, and both were accompanied with underwhelming sides, such as the Yukon gold mousse that gave kind of a weird texture with the sea bass. We’ve toured most all of Jacksonville’s fine dining experiences and as close as this is to the beach, we weren’t impressed and probably will not be returning.

Also we had two tequila shots (Casamigos Reposado), which came out to $50. I didn’t pay that much for the same shots in NYC, so I was surprised it cost so much here, where the service definitely left us wanting.
