Strange and different, but we liked it! It almost seemed more like a college campus area, including grilling areas. There were probably six or so buildings set up like a square with a restaurant and pool area in the center. The rooms seemed more like small apartments with a small kitchen area (wet bar and heating plate) and closet that had sliding glass doors (which, unfortunately, didn't slide well at all). There were the normal television, microwave and fridge as well as a sofa lounger and table/desk.

The breakfast buffet was served in PJ's restaurant. We were given tickets for this upon check-in, but never had to turn them in. This was definitely a highlight with hot food including sausage, eggs and potatoes. All of these were flavorful and good. Also available were muffens, various drinks, waffles and fruit.

The bathroom had a good exhaust fan which is always appreciated. There was a heat lamp, but that wasn't working.

This location is a little north of Tucson, but we were heading to Oracle, so a great place to stay. Would definitely stay again...

Edit: Second Visit
I had such a good experience the first time at this location that I came back at Christmas time. Unfortunately, my experience this time was not that great. Because it’s Christmas there are a lot of travelers, and it became clear that this place does not have systems in place for the capacity that they hold. First, I never had hot water for the three days I was here. Ended up, washing my hair in a sink because I didn’t want to jump into the cold shower. The sinks didn’t have hot water either which tells me that they have a hot water tank problem. Second, breakfast ran out of food around 8 AM, including cold and hot food. The microwave in my room had problems and I had to pull the coffee machine apart to fix it because it wasn’t working when I got there. I think this place is great as long as they have few visitors. If you’re traveling during the busy season, I wouldn’t stay here. What was a bummer, was that the pricing was more this time because of the holidays versus the last time I was here. So it was more expensive with a less happy experience.

The most positive thing about this stay was the front desk employee, Christopher. He was amazing and I was impressed with how calm he stayed as Christmas chaos rained upon him.

First Visit:
I had a great experience here. The staff was friendly at the front desk. The room was incredibly clean. The complimentary shampoo/conditioner was great quality. Both heating/AC in the room. Because I’m a rewards member, they did a complementary upgrade on the room, which was nice of them. The location is great if you want to explore the surrounding area. It felt like a safe area and at night and it was relatively quiet.

They offer hot breakfast in the morning.m with a great selection. There aren’t that many tables in the breakfast bar, so I ended up eating in my room a lot If you go early enough, you’ll get a seat.

My only complaint was how thin the walls were. I could actually hear my neighbor’s conversations. I don’t think they were actually being that loud. I think that the walls are just thin. Be aware that your neighbors can possibly hear what you’re saying.

Jen at Pavilion is an absolute superstar! From the moment we needed help, she went above and beyond with true All-Star customer service. She was kind, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was taken care of without hesitation. It’s rare to find someone who puts that much heart into helping customers, and Jen truly stands out.

A lovely facility! The room was spotless. Thr pool and hot tub were warm and clean. The breakfast had more variety than most places, and was prepared well. The best part of the stay, though, was the staff. They were all friendly, smiling, and helpful, and were proud of their fine hotel. I highly recommend staying there

Room was pretty clean but not super new. We just needed the basics and this delivered. Great value for price. Front desk staff absolutely excellent, friendly and took care of any issues right away. Breakfast was good! Hot food and a lot of it. Plenty of parking.

It was good lot of fun and was given a great selection the bed fig my request to a tee. The customer service was superb. The food they provided was delicious I could eat there everyday and never get tired of it. The staff were great at providing Wat u need and never disappointed.

Lots of free perks! Free alcoholic drink at social hour, free full breakfast, free cookies in the office, and free gym with free bottled water. We also enjoyed the hot tub by the pool. Our 2 queen beds bedroom was around $90 a night. The wireless phone charger on the lamp was nice! Thank you for the great stay!

Check in was made easy - Trey was great, warm, and welcoming. The room had a nice setup with the granite counters, fridge, microwave, stove, pull out couch, and two big screen TVs in the living area and bedroom. I also appreciated the free drink at PJ's Cafe and the breakfast had a pretty nice variety. However, there was quite a bit lacking - literally. For my free drink, I asked for a Shirley Temple and they were out of grenadine. At breakfast I wanted to use the hot water, but that was out of service (also, the oranges were rotten/bruised and bananas unripe, and the apple juice comes out bubbly/frothy). At checkout, I asked for 2 water bottles and they were completely out. I don't think they are ADA compliant as I didn't see an elevator anywhere, which made things a bit challenging. I also was woken up in the middle of the night just because someone in a different unit was using the shower and the pipes sounded like they were screaming. That being said, it really was a phenomenal location. Right across the street from the Dollar Store and Ross in case there were some essentials needed. Also, there is a small court where my stepson and husband were able to play basketball which was a really unexpected blessing.
