I didn't rate the rooms only because I haven't seen one myself. I'm sure they're nice tho. The campground is lovely and sits between two nice chilly rivers that cool you off quite nicely on hot summer days. Tom and Margi are the nicest people you'll ever meet, he's a picker and she's a grinner! Get back to nature and lay back just outside of the friendly town of Covelo. I haven't been for a few years, so I'm looking forward to a visit soon.

My sister, nephew and I rented a cabin for the weekend. The cabin was fairly clean. It included a double bed, single bed and a small couch that my nephew slept on. It also included a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker along with some coffee, creamer and sugar, and a TV. Unfortunately, the TV service wasn't connected. The shower, located across the way from the cabin, had absolutely no hot water and the bathroom, also across the way from the cabin, had no TP. And unfortunately, the store and BBQ are now closed for good, per Tom. But the area is absolutely beautiful and quiet. Overall, I might stay there again. Especially since the only other option is the hotel in town that is incredibly pricey and not a whole lot better (except they have hot water).

Good atmosphere, good people. Good burgers.
Update: no longer serving burgers or selling refreshments, but the cabins and campground are still open. Tom continues to be an outstanding host! Highly recommend a visit!

Black Butte River Ranch is relaxed and welcoming. The entire staff is great. Stewart is The Manager and Tom is the Boss. The Management is very accommodating. Prices are reasonable.

BBQ stand is a mainstay for the community and the out of town visitors, alike.

Campground is next to two rivers!
