This is hands-down, the best south Indian Restaurant I’ve ever had in the entire Chicago area! I am South Indian - came here with my family. We ordered everything and we loved every bit of it.

You must order the masala dosa, shrimp curry, beef curry, dry beef, egg curry, parotha, kappa with fish curry

Tasted just as good as our moms made growing up

Family owned and really sweet people working here

We will definitely be back

Excellent Kerala food! Especially loved the egg roast, fried beef, shrimp curry and beef curries! The policha fish was spiced to perfection and so expertly prepared! Our entire party enjoyed the experience.

I recently dined at Black Pepper Lounge and had an amazing experience! The food was incredibly delicious and authentic, capturing the true essence of Kerala cuisine. The service was top-notch, with very friendly and attentive staff who made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
We started with Pazham pori, and then tried their Kappa and fish curry, Fish pollichathu, BDF were bursting with authentic flavors and spices!
Achappam crumble dessert was the perfect sweet ending, rich and delightful, leaving us craving more?
Highly recommended this place for anyone looking to savor authentic Kerala flavors!

We went for first time and ordered meals, fish curry, idiyappam, kerela paratha and chicken stew. The dal in the meals had gone bad and tasted very sour so we informed the staff. Idiyappam was good. Fish curry was very runny. Kerela paratha was extremely oily. Chicken in the stew was chewy. There was a dessert of day for some mango coconut ingredients which was good.

I was amazed by food, atmosphere and service. I came with my friends and we tried a lot of meals and each was made to the perfection. Everything tasted so good and spices were so well balanced! Meals are made from scratch and you can taste the freshness and high quality. I think it's the best Indian restaurant from all I have tried in our west suburbs. Atmosphere and interior design is Europeanian, very polished, 5 star! This restaurant exceeded our expectations. We are definitely coming back for more! Highly recommend to try!

It was my first time going to an Indian restaurant. Some of my coworkers and I went to the Black Pepper Lunge. I was pleasantly surprised of how good and delicious the food was. The service was amazing, the people working were very pleasant. There mango pudding, was delicious. I will definitely go back there and this time I will go with my family.
