Selling here was surprisingly pleasant. They only bought one item, out of pity probably haha. But I appreciate the care they took when appraising the clothes and folding them. They pay 25% cash or 50% store credit. The seller counter is on the right when you enter, and there’s a QR code to get in virtual line. They seem to take more vintage items.

I had just sold some items at Pavement with a decent experience, so decided to come to Buffalo to see if they might want anything. I wasn't hoping for much. They bought some Zara jeans for $4 which is not the issue. There were possibly some things I was interested in in the store, but as I was gathering my stuff up (2 bags and a coat), they were not helpful and just kept telling me I need to move and make way for others (there was one other person who walked in right after me). I said I was possibly going to trade and they seemed frustrated and repeated I just needed to move (I wasn't there long--this was in a short span of time, maybe two minutes tops). They told me twice I could put it in my car and I told them twice I had parked far. They then said I could move my stuff to the floor by the door. This didn't feel great to me to think of putting my $195 jacket NWT on the floor next to the door, so I decided I didn't want to be there anymore and asked where should I check out.

The experience worsened from there. I went to the checkout counter and the cashier was non-plussed. She asked me if these were the things I was buying and I said I wasn't buying anything, that I just wanted the cash from the item bought by the store. She asked me two more times if I was ready to buy what was in my hands and I had to explain it to her twice more in detail. All in all it doesn't seem like it is worth the trouble. I don't think I will ever go back.

I love this store!!! It’s an amazing thrift experience but more curated than the average store so you always find amazing things in good condition! The selling option is amazing to get store credit, or maybe a little cash, to keep your closet fresh! The buyers can be selective but it makes sense when you see how much inventory they go through, and that they have to pay for every item of clothing. Always make a point to go and take friends! They also donate to amazing local non profits with clothes and money, BUT USED CLOTHING

I never do this and it’s hard but I try to give the benefit of the doubt. I worked here years ago and for almost a decade. It is so sad to see how far down hill it’s gone and how awful the buyers are. Passing on current, in style clothing and shoes for asinine reasons. Buyers need way better and unbiased training

Amazing Austin vintage with reasonable and fair pricing. Ty was so helpful when I came and sold clothes today. He explained everything well and was transparent about why he was passing on things. Love seeing other bright faces in the community.

If thrifting in Austin, check out Buffalo Exchange. Large, spacious, well organized. Prices comparable to other thrift stores in area. Decent amount of parking. Convenient to downtown and UT. Other shops and restaurants nearby. Highly recommend!

I stopped by Buffalo Exchange to sell some of my vintage clothing, and I was impressed by the helpful and knowledgeable staff. The manager, with long black hair, was particularly attentive and personable. I'll definitely be returning to this store. It’s going to be my new favorite spot for both vintage and new clothing.
