The farm itself is very quaint. However, I got married here in October...Helen is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to contact. We stumbled across her looking for a Justice of the Peace. She very kindly said we could use her farm free of charge, which was great because we did not want to spend too much money. Her charge was $200 to marry us.

I cannot tell you how many texts I've sent her, emails, emails to her farm and phone calls (both to her and her farm) THAT WERE NOT RETURNED. She finally got back to us a few weeks before our wedding of 18 people. My husband and I went to the farm (again, super cute the horses are so beautiful!) and she showed us around (she was busy but seemed very preoccupied). There was a wedding the day before and looked very cute but was told none of that would be there for us to use- again totally fine. She told us if we wanted benches we would have to pay for them for us to use. Four benches would be $100. We were told she did not want to "gouge" us for money. $25 per bench seemed like a lot but she was already not charging us to be married on her property.

Two days before my wedding I had sent her a text message sending her the picture behind the barn of where we wanted to get married and reminded her that we would need 4 benches to be set for our guests. I also told her we will have the license paperwork with us as well as $300- $200 for her service and $100 for the four benches. I did NOT receive any text back or an acknowledgement.

We married on a Friday at 10 am and were told the farm would be closed as they only open on weekends. When I arrived (a few minutes late) there were cars ALL over, apparently there was a field trip with tractor rides for the kids. I didn't really mind that there were kids since we were behind the barn but the parking was REALLY tight. My brother basically just parked his truck in the middle of the parking lot(?).

She not only pronounced my name incorrectly but during the part where she asks if I would marry my husband she called me ASHLEY. Now, I'm not a bridezilla and maybe I should have corrected her how to pronounce my name but I'm already so nervous and just focusing on my husband, to get it entirely wrong, it's mind blowing.

It wasn't until after the ceremony that my husband told me nothing was set up and only TWO benches were on the property. My husband- IN HIS THREE PIECE WEDDING SUIT had to find two other benches without the help of anyone working on the farm and move them with his buddy. My friend thankfully took control, grabbing mums and pumpkins and getting them all set up around our now $100's worth of four benches later told us Helen was very rude to them and did not help at all.

Again, beautiful farm and horses but do not expect to ever hear back from Helen. Good luck.
