First time here and I thought it was great! Small prison/museum compared to Eastern State Penitentiary—but still interesting and fun to explore (and photograph!). A lot of history here and from what I have heard and read — haunted. How can it not be? Explored all three floors and I happened to be the only person there so that was fun, too .. (well, besides Kyle, who was very informative). Check it out if you are in town!

A must experience! The facility is painstakingly preserved with a lovely and knowledgeable guide, Kyle, who you could tell really loves his history! I was there close to closing and he didn’t flinch. Just asked me to try to see what I could in the time before closing. I made my way through and was glad he had time to share with me and a family who had asked a question. Highly recommend!

Fascinating tour of this prison. They do an excellent job providing an audio tour with well marked stops. It is shocking to see how “rehabilitation” was handled - even up to its final years, not too long ago. The final exhibits about modern day incarceration rates and targeted communities is eye opening. This tour offers a very valuable lesson.

The Burlington County Prison Museum is an incredible hidden gem! I learned so much during my visit—it's fascinating to walk through such a well-preserved piece of history. The exhibits are detailed, the building itself tells a powerful story, and there’s so much to take in. Best of all, the entry fee is a total bargain for everything you get to see. Highly recommend this to anyone interested in local history or old architecture!
