Called to ask for information on safely adopting out puppies (keeping them away from weirdos and criminals) and how old they need to be to vaccinate/adopt out. I was met with "you bread the dog, it's your problem". The care provided in the past was mostly fine but a little hasty. I would be hesitant recommending this business soly based on how they've interacted with us

Yesterday, Dr. Burnham had to break some bad news to me about my little dog. You know, when something like that happens, it makes all the difference to have it come from someone who you've known and trusted to care for your animals for many years. He treats us like family.

Drove a very long distance for almost 2 1/2 hours to get to , but G P A took me right to the place . I went to adopt a fur baby that had been the for a very long time . When we arrived they were supposed to be closing , but they still allowed us to not only enter but let us meet with the doggie and spend a little time with him and when we decided that we wanted him as much as he seemed to want us, they help us with the paperwork, they already paid the adoption fee and gave us two harnesses, a glow in the dark leash, some toys that some of the people that worked at the shelter had bought for him. I only had to pay for his rabies shot, which cost me a lot less than I thought and gave me all things necessary for me to drive away with a new family member. Everybody that I had felt with while at the shelter was so nice and we're happy that he finally found a home, the gentleman that was taking care of our fur baby had obviously bonded with him, he seemed a little bit heartbroken to see him leave but still thankful. I told the gentleman that we will send him pictures from time to time to keep him up to date with his buddy. I hugged them and then happily drove away with Our Sebastien.

Dr. Burnham was out and we need our puppy to be seen before we went on vacation but the vet that was filling in for him was amazing I’m so sorry I can’t remember his name he was a younger Hispanic man I believe and he took the time to show me how to express her anal glands and made sure she was in tip top shape for Fort Bragg the staff is also very sweet with the animals and humans I highly recommend this man.

Dr Burham has been around forever and really knows his stuff. As a former German Shpeherd breeder and trainer, and now a Chihuahua owner too, I appreciate his knowledge of and skill with all breeds. HIs rates are very reasonable and the staff truly CARES about you and your pets.

Adopted a puppy and it was fairly simple had to make a pit stop at the sheriff's department first glad to save a dog from destruction

Usually have positive experiences at this vet. I feel horrible but public need to be aware and I am obligated as my pets owner to be her voice. Starting off, all the reception and nurses are nice and do great work. I feel my dog was treated abruptly, without patience and lack of compassion for the fear she was displaying. She was slapped on her head and scolded loudly by Dr. Burnham, although not hard, not appropiate. She is afraid of the vets because its associated with discomfort and pain. Dr acted annoyed and did not try to speak to my dog. Just had a man and I hold her up on a slippery table to take a small amount of blood for a test. Then didnt even tell me I could get her down. I finally said she is getting down. I am sorry this may upset some people but I feel Dr. Burnham needs to retire. My family and my dog deserve better and we were upset as well.
