We adore Bilbao and we love this hotel. This is the second time we have stayed and we would happily book again. The service from the staff on reception is always welcoming and extremely helpful. Wonderful Rocio who served us in the restaurant was a delight. The room we stayed in had a balcony which was lovely, the room is clean, comfortable and has an iron and ironing board (something a lot of hotels don’t include in rooms). The location is perfect and we had no issues with noise. There is a parking garage underneath the hotel, we have a large car and managed to park with no issues. Overall, we would recommend this hotel when visiting fabulous Bilbao.

Lovely hotel with lovely people. Very easy to drive to, and easy access walking around Bilbao. In a safe area. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Special shout out to Rocio for helping with a strange room service request, as well as Dhamar, for making me feel welcome and comfortable, and complimenting my broken Spanish. These ladies really made the stay memorable.

The only small issues were a couple of fixtures and finishes in the bedroom that needed repairing, and the balcony that was a bit dirty and with no cover in the rain. Other than that, no complaints, and would not hesitate to stay here again/recommend to others.

Lovely welcome from the reception team who gave us a map and suggestions as to where to visit. The hotel was located on one of the main streets close to the river which was an ideal starting point for exploring the city. The room was spacious, clean and everything worked. Best of all was probably the breakfast, a great selection of fresh fruit and plenty of hot and cold options. The Spa was extra but reasonable and a great way to relax after walking round the sights. We've used this chain before and will do so again.

Room - The room had a small balcony that overlooked the hotel's enclosed patio space so it was very quiet at night. The shower was phenomenal. We didn't hear anything from other rooms or hallways when we were in our room.

AC - Has a usable AC. We've stayed at 2 other hotels in Spain (different cities) that list AC but it's been unusable.

Breakfast - The breakfast buffet had a lot of options which we really appreciated. The fruit, yogurt, and granola selections were our favorite. Also the croughnuts.

Staff - The staff was all professional and helpful. We had already figured out transportation to the bus station but they offered to help us get a cab at checkout which I found thoughtful.

Area - There is a very nice park across the street that was lovely to walk around. There are a ton of shops and restaurants within an easy walking distance.

Very nice hotel with a wonderful breakfast. The room was very well kept, with a nice balcony and all the necessary amenities. As said, the breakfast was full of good options, freshly squeezed orange juice, 5 fruit options, lots of different granolas, pancakes and eggs on a station. We also went to the spa and enjoyed the water circuit and it was worth it. Would definitely recommend and come back!

Absolutely amazing hotel with all amenities you could ask for. Upon arrival with our rental car, there were 2 dedicated spaces directly in front of the hotel on the street for loading and unloading. Super helpful and relaxed entry. They sent a staff member outside to assist with luggage and also to help us into the garage with our car. The driveway to the hotel garage is directly on the street to the right of the entrance which made it very easy. Upon entry and exit to garage, there is a button to press, they verify your room number and buzz you in. The garage has VERY tight turns and somewhat small spots. We recommend getting a smaller car if you're going to use the garage. You cannot make a reservation for the garage, but we had no trouble finding spots all week. There are 2 levels of garage.||We checked in early and our room was not ready, however, they called us about 1/2 an hour later and said our room was ready (I asked if we could check in early as we were exhausted from the 2 flights from NYC). So accommodating!! ||Because we signed up for Catalonia rewards when we booked the room, they gave us a free bottle of water upon arrival. We booked a deluxe room with a terrace that was spacious for a European hotel room (not known for space usually). It also came with one hour free for each of us at their spa. That included small pool with jacuzzi jets and pressure jets, a shower with crazy spouts (lol), a steam room (my fav) and a sauna. There is hot tea, cold water and lounge chairs to relax as well. It was lovely. You can also make reservations (and pay) for all sorts of spa treatments.||The bar/lobby area is usually busy which is nice. Love seeing other guests use the facilities. Good drinks and wine, small snacks and food. TV was great to watch the soccer matches (Go Athletic Club!).||The daily cleaning service was perfect. Vacuum every day. Towels every day. Bed made daily. Nightly turndown service with chocolate!!||The staff at the spa, the front desk, the cleaners, the garage, everyone....was always helpful and friendly. The appreciated our tries at speaking Spanish, and were always happy to help in English. ||The location is amazing. You can walk all over this beautiful city. To the old town, to the Guggenheim, to many restaurants and shops.||Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bilbao. We stayed for 7 nights and made a few days trips (to Gaztelugatze, San Sebastian, etc). Otherwise we roamed the city and enjoyed every minute of it. 15 minutes or less to the airport. The buses run well, as well as the electric trolley and the subway.||Because of this wonderful experience, we would definitely search out other hotels under the Catalonia umbrella in other locations. Love the idea that this is family owned and not corporate. It shows in all ways.

Classic Catalonia style and quality. Great staff. Very complete and good breakfast. Our room was spacious, quiet and clean. The spa is also very nice. Not very big, but an hour can pass faster than expected. It's a walk to the old town... But a nice one no matter which way you go.

Good location on a main thoroughfare through the city centre, close to the river and easy walking distance to the Guggenheim Museum.|We have used Catalonia hotels before and had a good experience and so it was this time. The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was large clean comfortable and everything worked.|We enjoyed our free drink in the bar and best of all was the breakfast which was excellent. |I will use this chain again when in Spain
