Best donuts in OB! Review is based on multiple visits. This is a traditional donut shop which I love. The apple fritter is enormous (see pic with dough for scale reference) and absolutely delicious. My wife loves the chocolate covered glazed. Other favorites include blueberry cake, the donut holes, & glazed. One downside is they do not serve coffee. I was told this is due to a noncompete agreement because Starbucks is in the same plaza ?. It’s really annoying that big business taking away from a local interest. Please visit City Donut!

What a fun place!! A definite must try when you're in the Orange Beach area.
The lady that helped us was kind (she seemed like she may be the owner). She directed us and helped us make the choices for us. My kids were happy with their frosted donuts, and my hubby was glad to find basic regular glazed donuts. They were light and fluffy. The apple fritter was literally the size of a plate!

Stumbled upon this place and absolutely love it. The apple fritters are huge and have the best flavor. Been two days in a row and will possibly be back tomorrow on our way out. We shared the apple fritter with 5 other people and they also raved about it. Keep up the good work City Donuts…..

Hubby and I were out and about, got hot and went looking for ice cream and boba!! Are we glad we stopped I in to city donuts!!! Very clean, very friendly staff, even let me have a sample of the pearls for the boba. I got the mango and there are many flavors. It was a very good boba and vanilla ice cream. We will be back!!

LIZ!
I just pulled away, had to park and give my 2 cents worth. A lovely person was waiting on me. I asked for kolaches, she said we do not have them here. I lamented that my Google Maps query for “KOLACHES NEAR ME” offered your store 2.2 miles and 2 U turns away.
Just as I finished my comments “LIZ” booms from the back and exclaims “We don’t have Kolaches.” I told her the internet, (my mistake should have said Google Maps) said that you do. With more fire and fuss, she said to the lady helping me, “it’s not on the website, WE CAN’T BE RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT’S ON Google.
I have haven’t eaten your product so I don’t know if you have the best donut store in the world. I’m sitting on the parking lot wondering why such an embarrassment works in your store.
She speaks with great authority and gristliness, lots of spit and vinegar, like a Mac Truck with hot brakes. You know the type, you’ve seen them before.
It wasn’t her information it was the delivery!
I asked the sweet lady helping me if LIZ was the owner. She said no, “She just works her like me.” This info was offered with great fear and trembling, do you think LIZ has given her a dress-down too.
There were other people in the store when all this happened.
I’m glad she’s not the owner, that would have been a whole “other” issue. But, to the Owner, you might want to consider this issue with your disposable time before this employee’s actions demand your urgent attention.

Now I’ve cooled off considerably, had one of your scrumptious donuts…ummm, and won’t allow another thought of, liz.

This was on the list of “must go to” places recommended to us on vacation. It did NOT disappoint. The donuts were extremely moist and delicious and they offered a wide selection. It was suggested to go early as they usually sell fast and this was good advice. It wasn’t long until the line was out the door. Highly recommend.

These are the best donuts I’ve ever had. No exaggeration. The chocolate donuts are glazed AND topped with chocolate. All the donuts we ordered were excellent. But the apple fritters…those were seriously the best. We are currently on our way back home to Texas and we are still eating on the apple fritters we bought yesterday and they’re STILL good! They’re huge..

Stopped in for some ice cream which was excellent. Staff was absolutely sweet as they could be and great with our kids. They gave them some paper hats which the kids loved! Got a couple boxes of donuts for in the morning and they were nice and fresh and taste great. Will definitely be back again! We didn’t get the ladies names but they’re Custmer service and food were top notch!
