This City Hall has wonderful staff. The building is beautiful, kept clean and even has a drive through in the back to drop off your utilities payment. Open until 6pm which is very convenient. If I ever have any questions, the staff is happy to help me. I haven't experienced customer service like this in local government, I don't think ever. Thank you!!

Tara you are AWESOME! Tara in utilities department is so helpful, knowledgeable, and professional! I admire her great positive energy. Coincidentally any time I stopped by or called, I got to work/speak with her haha! She is sweet and understanding, caring and informative. Definitely puts a smile on your face. We recently moved out here and she provided us info and helped us outside of utilities as well by sharing her knowledge of the city of Alachua. Thank you so much and we’re so happy to meet Tara, very welcoming to Alachua! We look forward to making Alachua/Gainesville home for the foreseeable future!

By NO FAULT of our own, a large limb came down damaging our irrigation system that we have never used and were told when the house was inspected was NON FUNCTIONAL. There was a leak from the damage and we received a bill for 747. Husband called and we were told once plumber came the sewage fee would be REMOVED. They learned it was our irrigation and CHANGED THEIR MIND and told us to PAY UP. We have never once missed a single payment and have paid EVERY BILL 2 weeks in ADVANCE, they then assured us NO LATE FEES WILL BE INCURRED. LIARS. THEY ARE LIARS. We accrued over 100 dollars in late fees. THEY SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!

City of Alachua has worse customer service very unprofessional when it comes to answering questions during outages. Area towards mebane is ALWAYS last to have power restored after storm but multiple trucks in upscale subdivision seems as If they choose areas to designate 1st. We pay our bills on time and just as important as Alachua so call Upper class areas. May need to address this at some meetings instead of raising taxes to pay CITY OF ALACHUA for poor service

This is Alachua....traffic and congestion every day. AVOID during any high traffic time. It's like they programed the traffic lights to force you to hit them all. I've also never seen more police and people pulled over than on the 2 mile stretch of 441 in Alachua proper...every day on way to work at least 3-4 cars. This traffic was a deciding factor in our home purchase to another location.

City of Alachua utility department Sandy so very rude and unprofessional. When I called the second time she put me on hold and put another person on because there was no update on my water outage. Instead of helping me they forwarded me to public relations. I been out of water for two days. Technician came out and told me they would be back the next day.

Used to be a good little town to live in. But not so much anymore. I have spent most of my life here, and have seen the town fall basically. They have let illegal temples move into a place for residents. Loud pickup trucks come through all hours of the night with loud pipes. Stereo's blasting so loud it rattles the windows in your house , you also have tractor trailers coming through from the distribution warehouses applying engine brakes late at night There is no noise ordinance in the town, so people can be loud.Speeding vehicles, motorcycles speed down the road where there are parks with kids playing. Sky high electric bills, and apparently it is ok for your neighbors to stand outside and smoke pot then get in a vehicle and drive. Cops want do ANYTHING about it. We used to get in trouble for skateboarding on the sidewalks Now your can ride 4 wheelers,
golfcarts, go karts or anything else around and it doesn't matter. I am getting out as soon a I can. The only reason I gave it a 1 is I had to, it wouldn't let me post otherwise.
