Our power went out during Milton but was restored within a few days which is pretty impressive considering all the damage. I called customer service when it happened and they were very friendly and helpful. They called back several days later to ask us if service was restored. We’ve lived in three counties, Hernando, Pinellas, and Hillsborough and so far Bartow electric has been less expensive and more response . Keep up the great work!!

This is one of the worst customers service i have ever seen for staters. But the crazy thing is that i was paying like 80 but now every month is growing 20 and now im up to 160. How that's possible I asked them and the response said the AC because of heat. I have 1 ac, 1 tv, 1 pc plus the fridge. Insane this is. Before i move to my house i paid all the installation and all and i was not living there till the other month no one was in the house for that month and they charged me like a 100 and i had to call em to fix that. So tell me how i trust this now.

Literally the worst electric company of all time. Every other utility service I’ve had bills on a cycle so you have 30 days of service and then 30 days to pay once billed. Not Bartow. They mail you their bill, it frequently arrives after it’s due, but if you don’t pay it the exact day it’s due they immediately shut your power off. No flexibility at all. They also treat you like an absolute criminal if you call in.

Way over charge always !!!! And there is just 3 of us in a house right now . The house isn’t that huge as well 2,000 sf . The bill with water runs almost $500.00 a month getting ready to be empty nester's as of March 2025 and I bet they will still charge us the same its ridiculous 🤦🏼‍♀️

You pay twice what you use in electricity every month just for their service charges. The initial deposit is insane. I just called to start service at an address I’m moving to (still here in town) and they said it was $900. I don’t know about you but I don’t have that lying around just to turn on electricity. So you have to pay this insane fee because it’s the past average. I’ve lived in Bartow for 3 years and I’ve never understood the cost. You pay an arbitrary amount for terrible service. We lose power periodically in my area for seemingly no reason and we still pay so much for it.

Too bad this is literally the only option for electric or I would gladly go elsewhere.

This company needs to be managed my a larger entity. The bills are verbally explain by Pat Hicks when paper copies are requested and preferred. In addition, the customer service is awful and the extra payments goes to the Bartow airport which explains the excessive and unexplained fees. I would suggest a s upgrade to billing services

Couldn't be worse. Customer service, the overcharging and the fact we can't do anything about it. The only ones with two braincells to rub together are their technicians. I can't wait to move out of Bartow, mostly because of the utilities.

Worst Utility company I have ever had to deal with. When I set up my service, they told me after I moved in and had no water, that the Service Tech, she couldn’t find the spot to turn the water on. I called and a very nice Gentleman came after he got off work to locate the water turn on so I could have water. No one else was interested in helping me. Now, they are refusing to turn the power off. I have moved to Colorado, I notified them 2 weeks before I moved that I wanted to cancel service on the 2nd. I call today to verify this has been done and was told the Service Tech, she was unable to get into the back yard to shut the power off. Funny, your Meter Reader never had that issue, or maybe you guys have just been making up the usage for the last 2 years? I was told the power would stay on until I opened the gate. Wow.
