My friends and I booked one night at the Copper Queen. It was an okay experience. I'll start with the good: Staff was friendly, room was a decent size and clean, the bar had a really nice band playing covers. The hotel is in a very walkable areas close to many bars and shops.
The bad: The elevator did not work, the room smelled musty but to be expected. The bed was on the extra firm side and not very comfortable to sleep on.
Possible ghostly experience: 1am, my friend and I were watching a movie and the sounds all of the sudden stopped working on the tv. As I was trying to fall asleep, I kept waking up to a tinkering like someone was tapping aluminum. Happened twice that night. The upstairs lobby on the 2nd floor smelled like cigarettes, what some people attribute to the man with the top hat. As we explored the hotel, near Julia's and Billy's room both my friend and I had stomach pain but faded as we left the area.
This stomach pain also happened during the ghost tour especially at the Olive House "the murder house". Overall, the hotel was not bad but it needs a little more updating.

The stay at the copper queen was absolutely amazing and the dinner at the restaurant was delicious as well. We had the salmon and Philly cheesesteak. The main point about this post is that Cody is a phenomenal bar tender making the best lemon drop (fresh lemon) , all while keeping the vibe good at the bar. I appreciate him very much. Copper queen is definitely a must go in Bisbee for a beautiful stay, good food, delicious drinks and amazing hospitality. Also thank you to the security man with the hat for making me feel safe while there were goons about the town.

**Extremely Disappointing Experience at the Copper Queen Hotel**||Our stay at the Copper Queen Hotel in Bisbee, Arizona was, unfortunately, one of the worst travel experiences we’ve ever had. My 76-year-old mother booked the hotel for a weekend getaway and called ahead specifically to confirm that the property had an elevator. She was assured that it did.||When we arrived on Friday afternoon, we were immediately disappointed. There was no available parking, and the lobby was messy and disorganized. Starr at the front desk was kind and tried her best, but it was clear she was overwhelmed by a crowd of unhappy guests.||We were assigned a room on the fourth floor, only to discover that the elevator has been broken for over a year. This made it impossible for my mother, who has multiple sclerosis and knee issues, to climb the stairs. To make matters worse, our room’s air conditioning wasn’t working, and the cable TV was out as well.||We returned to the front desk and requested a room on a lower floor, but were told there were no other rooms available. We then asked for a refund so we could make other arrangements. Starr informed us that only a manager could process refunds and promised we would be contacted the next morning. That call never came. When we returned in person the next day, we were told we would *not* receive a refund and that the issue was “our problem.” We also noticed several other guests in line requesting refunds.||This experience was incredibly disappointing. What should have been a relaxing weekend turned into a stressful ordeal. Until management takes responsibility for the condition of the property and the misleading information provided to guests, I strongly recommend avoiding the Copper Queen Hotel.

Copper Queen is an old hotel that embraces its heritage. I enjoyed my night here. Water was scolding hot which is great. The only downside was the continental breakfast was lacking basics like protein. Still worth a stay.

I really like the elevator at the Copper Queen Hotel. It’s an Otis Black Button traction elevator from 1940. Although I have heard that this elevator breaks down frequently, I think it’s because Guests don’t know that they need to push the button very hard to call the elevator. I think this elevator runs excellent despite being over 80 years old and I think this elevator will continue to run for many more years.

Amazingly quaint hotel with tons of history. Parking is an issue, as there is no parking onsite, however there is plenty of free parking, with a short walk to the hotel. We experienced no paranormal activity. It is ok when checking in and checking out to park in the no parking area, to offload and load your luggage. The staff said to make sure it’s not more than 10-15 minutes. WiFi isn’t the best, but then again, you’ll probably be out exploring. The elevator didn’t work, nor did the ice machine. We ate at the restaurant one night, and it wasn’t bad. The bar…well a shot of whisky and a beer was $18…just walk down the street to st Elmo or the brewery.

Overall, this place is recommended, if you want to keep things cold in your room, we brought ice and a cooler to act like a refrigerator.

We were very disappointed in the Copper Queen Hotel. I have heard about it from others and was really looking forward to staying there. The elevator was broken and the entire property needs work - fresh paint, chips in the molding and walls repaired, etc. Our room was very small and there was no closet or even a hook to hang anything. The bathroom was also small and the shower was barely big enough to fit into. The shower in our RV is better. No hot water in the morning so I had to go downstairs and inform the front desk. Eventually we did get hot water for a shower but it took awhile. The buffet breakfast is a joke. There was no coffee and the food was boxed cereal and store bought pastries in the packages. No silverware available and no cream cheese. There was no waitress or other personnel in the restaurant and very few staff on site. Apparently, the hotel has been purchased by someone out of San Diego and they are cutting costs. For almost $200 a night it was terrible. We will not return. Too bad they have ruined such an iconic historical hotel.

I made reservations online (which apparently doesn't work - so if you are making reservations YOU HAVE TO CALL). I made plans for the Halloween party. I was pretty excited and probably spent around $200 preparing for the night.

Got there and there was no reservation. There was a room available but it was much more expensive. I said, okay let's do it. I already invested into this evening so I didn't want it to be for nothing. But then another room pops up, a little cheaper, and I get that one. But when I get up there, I find that room is being renovated. By the time I get back downstairs, the other room is gone.

I got a refund but as of now it is still pending so I cannot even get a room anywhere else. The night is basically ruined.
