The girls there don’t want to be there and don’t understand customer service. Owners are rude! I’d rather go to Hartford where I know for sure all of the items I need will be there!

Today I went to CT Beauty Max, and one of the attendance was incredibly mean to me. I don't know if she was just having a bad day, but we all have bad days, and it isn't fair to take that out on other people.

I went in to buy a hair treatment, and when I got to the cashier, she eventually asked me to whether the card was debit or credit. I said, "I don't know it's my dad's card". Then she said, "well he's gonna have to come in here," and I and I asked her why, and if it was really necessary (my dad was on a business call in the car). I called my dad, however, to come inside.

In the meantime, I was trying to understand why he had to come inside, because I have replied, "I don't know" to the whole credit card question before (in this store), and I haven't been required to ask my dad to come in store. At last, I came to the understanding that her reasoning was that it was state policy.

Truthfully, I did say, "I still think this whole thing is really extra but OK." At that point, for me, the whole thing was over and done, and I tapped my card to the machine etc. I thought that it went through, but it didn't, so I asked, "Did it not go through?"

She proceeded to tell me, "NO it says in insert card. READ." I put the card in, ignoring her comment, and then she proceeded to loudly tell me, "Now take it out." That was incredibly unnecessary and rude.

I said to her, "You don't need to talk to me like that, I can read." and I went on to say that I don't need this right now. This is when she decided to walk away and say "I'm gonna walk away cause I could really care less right now..." After this, my dad started to address the store owner who was standing right behind, who had nothing to say this entire time. The store owner basically just told us to get out the store.

As a black girl, especially, I was not expecting this kind of treatment from a fellow black girl (the attendant). We all have our bad days, but please don't take it out on me. I could even understand her being annoyed with my questions, but don't speak down to me...telling me to "READ" etc. Just incredibly unnecessary.

If there a ZERO star to give, this store would get it. DO NOT GO INTO THIS STORE. DO NOT GO INTO THIS STORE. I purchased a large bottle of lotion and got water. WATER. The bottle was filled with water. I took it back the next day with receipt in tow and was told it cannot be exchanged or refunded. The store attendant checked all the bottles of the same type of lotion and they all contained water, however she refused to give me an exchange or refund. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE. THEY WILL SWINDLE YOU OUT OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. I AM IN CONTACT WITH BBB.

Good beauty store. Found most everything I needed. They carry one-time use Mizani Butter Blend and Affirm relaxer here. I was happy to find Affirm here as they don't carry it at another popular beauty store in waterbury.

Terrible store with no return policy or exchange policy I'm sure I was racially profiled as well never will resist had an allergic reaction to a product and was told oh well.
