After a one week vacation in an ocean resort, my wife and I were touring the facilities early this summer, and we were so impressed that we signed a contract to have a home built after a only a few hours of touring the adjoining town shopping, dining, medical facilities, and then spent two more hours viewing everything Del Webb Orlando. We picked a nice lot, and then flew home the next day. We flew back to pick everything out at the Orlando design studio, and now our home is half built already. We can’t wait to see it completed. All the people we stopped to talk to were all friendly everywhere, and I wait with anticipation to the day we move in and become members of the community.

Beautiful place, wonderful people.
Rules may be more strict than the other communities but that might be helping to keep good looking community.
Lots of animals and birds to watch.
Great clubhouse with indoor pool and hot tub!
We had been living here for 4-1/2 years and never wanted to move.

We love our home here. The lakes and views are truly beautiful. The facilities are well maintained, and the community itself includes residents with huge, caring hearts. You will not find a better place to live.

We traveled many places. W love this place mostly because because of its location. But it's the residents that really make it awesome. The median age is 62 which is very young for a 55+. Shop around is what I tell everyone, you'll be back.

I feel like it’s my duty to warn the public about what happened to my family, at Del Webb Orlando.

My parents moved to Del Webb and were excited about the amenities and ways in which they could find community and connection with people their age. As their daughter, I was reassured that DWO was a safe community that would support them through their retirement. Unfortunately, this was not the case and their move to Del Webb resulted in heartbreak and thousands of lost dollars.

DWO boasts about being a gated community but they do no due diligence in vetting people who move there. While most of the residents are over 55, Del Webb also allows adult children to live with their parents. One of these adult children, a convicted felon, moved into the community, to live with her caregiver, and began to prey on aging residents. My parents unfortunately fell victim to her and lost tens of thousands of dollars. She cons residents cleverly, winning them over with flattery and promises, then proceeding to bleed them dry financially. When the money stops, the threats and stalking begins.

Unfortunately, Del Webb has no restriction in place to protect their vulnerable residents, despite a person’s known convictions and continued egregious behavior. Do better, DWO and protect your residents.

Built here in 2015 moved away for a few years then we bought again. Family circumstances led us to sell yet again. We looked at three homes this past summer was ready to buy. However, after hearing all the things about the HOA we decided against it. It’s a great commute but when neighbors fight against neighbor over petty things, this is not for us.
