Up until recently I only knew of only 1 family own tree business in Shelton till I got introduced to it by someone I know.

There is a lot of parking.

You can definitely shop for Christmas trees either already packaged up or you can go cutdown your own & they will packaged up for you as well as tie it down on your vehicle too. The prices are all fair as well as you can buy small/big wreaths too.

For as big as a space on that property they have a bonfire at your convenience to get warm as well as a concession hut & you can buy popcorn, hot cider or hot chocolate or even cold drinks & cider mini doughnuts. They even have events at night in “Santa’s village” for the kids.

Also they have different festive displays for you to take photos at your convenience too whether it’s on your cellphones or even actually do mini photoshoots with an actual camera to make memories with your family/loved ones.

Looking forward to making another trip there in the future.

Fairview Tree Farm Night of Lights - A Merry Christmas Hayride is a magical holiday experience! From the moment we pulled onto the property, we could tell it was going to be an unforgettable evening. The farm is absolutely pristine, and every detail has been thought of to create a truly festive atmosphere.

The Christmas lights are spectacular, with every tree on the property perfectly decorated. There are so many amazing photo opportunities, including charming backdrops and a delightful variety of holiday “characters” to pose with. It’s clear a lot of care and thought went into making this event special.

This is a family-friendly attraction that’s also cost-effective, which is a huge bonus. The staff were incredibly polite and kind, adding to the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Fairview Tree Farm Night of Lights is a must-visit during the holiday season! It’s a place where memories are made, and we can’t wait to come back every year.

Last night was my first time going to Fairview Tree Farm’s Night of Lights (their holiday event) and I had a blast! The sets had a wonderful turnover from the haunted attraction; the lights were aplenty, the festivity was in the air (so was the smell of those donuts… very tempted). It was wonderful!! Santa and Mrs. Claus as well as their elf friend Jangles were very jolly and welcoming as we got pictures before we stood by one of the fires. The hayride though really was awesome — so much to see, all around a great lights show with festive sets and atmosphere! (Plus, you can get your very own tree when you’re leaving. C’mon, what’s NOT to love?)

12/14. Had 8:00PM reservations and arrived early around 7:00PM as the instructions stated to arrive at least 15 minutes early and we also wanted to enjoy some snacks and hot chocolate/cider.

There are two stands to choose from. The first sells only mini donuts, and the second sells donuts, popcorn, and hot drinks. We got onto that line as we wanted hot chocolate in addition to donuts. After waiting for about 15 minutes and making our purchase, we were told that we needed to get into the donut line with a ticket that they gave us to pick them up - that line was also 15 minutes long. We got on that line and waited, still enjoying the music and lights. When we got to the front of the line we overheard a woman and her young child being turned away as they only accept cash on the donut line and she only had a card. She was now going to need to wait on the other line for another 15 minutes or so to come right back to the line that she had just been standing in. This was very sad to see and just poor operation.

The bigger issue was that 8:00PM tickets were called to form a line at 8:30PM. After waiting for an additional 30+ minutes in line there was a problem with the vehicle and we decided to go back home as there was no indication of how much longer we could be waiting in the cold. For reference it is 22 degrees at this time. Very sad waste of money as tickets are $25 each.

Looked great, but was horribly executed. Drove an hour, we were really excited about this & had never been. We got there 30 min early as stated online. We paid for the 8:00 tractor ride but were still waiting close to 9:00. It was 20° outside, only one fire pit which was hard to find a close spot to stay warm. It was already past our kids bedtime, so we were pushing it keeping them out later than we intended. We ended up having to leave because we couldn’t wait out in the freezing cold with crying kids any longer. When we left, we were rudely told by a staff member that we had to exit a certain way, even though there was a clear path and no line to get around, he made it complicated and was on some sort of a power trip, completely unempathetic to the fact that we had a crying child and we just needed to leave as quickly as possible. Instead we were told to walk all the way around to exit even though we could’ve easily left the way we went the first time. I also got a hot dog from the food stand and was violently throwing up last night… it was such a horrendous experience & I’m so upset it was because we would’ve totally made the drive every year to do this.

The Christmas hayride was very fun for kids. Cute scenery and nice music. The children really enjoyed it. My only complaint was the wait time. We had a 6:30 reservation and were called in to line at 6:30 and waited until 7:15 until we got on the hayride. Standing in line that long, in the cold with children really put a damper on the experience. Why have reservation times if they can’t be honored within a few minutes.

The night of lights at fairview tree farm is one of the best family experiences!
The decorations, and lights are perfect. The people and characters were so kind. Santa cared to take the photos with the kids and was genuinely kind. Highly recommend the experience.

After bringing my two young daughters to Fairviews Night of Lights I will absolutely make this a yearly tradition. I’m not a fan of the polar express in Essex and was looking to do something else this year… this is FAR better! Well organized, beautiful property, a spacious hayride with the best Christmas light show and music… afterwards get hot chocolate, and snacks and sit by one of the fires… pictures with the grinch, the frozen characters… and Santa in Santa’s village. So much fun and at such a reasonable price!
