Our time at Fred Astaire has been truly life changing. For our wedding, my husband and I wanted to take dance classes to really wow our guest with a choreographed dance. We expected to it to be just another thing to do for the wedding, but we had no idea just how much we would come to love our time at the studio.

I've danced my whole life (though I had no experience in ballroom), but my husband had two left feet! It was a rocky start, but Alex and Katya helped us build our skills from the ground up. By our last class, we were unrecognizable on the dance floor. My husbands confidence in his dancing abilities has skyrocketed, and we have since used the skills we learned here at family parties and practically any time we hear a salsa/ bachata song.

I think the best part of the experience here was getting a little extra time to spend with my soon-to-be husband. To have a scheduled time for just me and him had a major positive impact on our relationship. I was so surprised to see how much just dancing with each other improved our communication and the way we solve problems together. Not to mention we just had so much fun! That's really what I mean when I say Fred Astaire has been life changing for us.

If your on the fence about starting classes, this is your sign to take them here. Out if all the money we spent for the wedding, these classes were an expense we will never regret. Thank you to all the wonderful teachers!

Norges has been my dance instructor and he has so much patience! No matter how many times I can't figure out the steps, he will continuously keep showing me. He is all about figuring out what is the easiest way for the student to learn. I always have such a wonderful time learning and a confidence boost when I leave. So far I have been learning Bachata, Salsa, Rumba and Tango and it's been so much fun! I definitely recommend this dance studio! If you're second guessing yourself about learning to dance...this is the place to get out of your comfort zone! Everyone here is super friendly and eager to teach. Keep up the fabulous work!

My wife and I satrted dancing at the Fred Astaire Glastonbury more than 10 years ago. This was one of the best decisions we made in our life. We have really enjoyed dancing together since. Now that Alex and Katya own the Fred Astaire West Hartford, you can take lessons at both West Hartford and Glastonbury which offer a variety of group lessons at different levels. We think this is truely a great value and advantage for students. If you are interested in dancing, we strongly recommend both the Fred Astaire West Hartford and Glastonbury.

You can probably learn to dance anywhere, right? So what makes WH FADS unique? At WH FADS, the teachers keep the focus on the positive, while delivering tailored, explicit feedback. In Zoom group classes, I learned how to use my arms gracefully, along with a new language (wait, what’s a passé again?) from Ervis Nalbani. I found there’s an infinite way of styling from Boris Medved. I learned that my core was in there and I am actually pretty powerful from Andrea Talia. But my (existential) review is for my ever creative, brilliantly diagnostic, always encouraging, intuitive, patient, and fun-loving teacher. With Clemens Lengenfelder, I met a life goal, learning to burst through my comfort zone and vaporize specific restrictions. Clearly, the benefits of having the right instructors are hardly confined to the dance floor. So you can learn to dance or you can learn to dance and expand. Your choice. I choose WH FADS.
