(Was here over the summer) My friend had the whole fish special with a wonderful chickpea salad and I had the pan roasted salmon with fresh garden veg & hummus - such a great combo. The seafood was very fresh and cooked perfectly. Our view of the marina was serene. It was a great night to catch up.

This is a nice little restaurant right on the water. We sat in the glass room by the marina and looked out over the water.

Our server was excellent. They had vegetarian options. I had lentil soup, veggie black bean burger and sweet potato fries. We also tried the truffle Parmesan fries which were delicious! My friend had a burger and enjoyed that.

I'll start by saying WOW the place is awesome, very nice feel.. the drinks a touch pricey but not shocking. service A+ , and the meal was exceptional

We spent a relaxing afternoon overlooking the marina while dining. The food was great. We enjoyed oysters, clams, shrimp, a charcuterie board, a lobster roll and more to celebrate my parent's 57th wedding anniversary! The portions of the food were just right and the quality was top notch. I especially enjoyed the shrimp. My wife loved her after dinner drink, the banana foster cocktail. We will definitely go back.

Ok maybe we are bias but the food was fantastic .. pork chop ( sorry no picture of that ) was so juicy ! Not dry at all - like the best thing , with the bacon mash .
The calamari with sirachia was nice and spicy . Tuna triangles - amazing . Fresh and tasty … if you’re being healthy , that’s the option to go for .
Great fast friendly service , with great drinks and cocktails too .
Plenty of space to sit outside and look out over the boats .

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary dinner at Fresh Salt in Old Saybrook, and it was an amazing experience. We made a reservation and requested a table by the water, which we were lucky to get. We started with the Asian calamari, which is an absolute must-try—it came with a wasabi drizzle and was the best calamari we’ve ever had.

For drinks, I had the cucumber Hugo spritz, which was light and refreshing, though not very strong. My husband’s Manhattan was quite the opposite—very strong. For dinner, he ordered the blackened swordfish, and it was cooked perfectly with delicious seasoning. I had the cod fish special, served in a chowder broth with corn and bacon, which was fantastic. The only disappointment was the Rhode Island clam chowder, which I felt lacked flavor.

To finish the meal, we shared the walnut brownie cheesecake, and we devoured it. Overall, it was a wonderful night, and we’ll definitely be back!

I recently booked a valentines dinner here. The issue started with them not being upfront. When you book a special occasion where the atmosphere is a big part of the experience, I expected to be in the main dining room with a view of the water. Upon arrival the hostess brings us to a side room up a hallway with no view. Just a boring basic, no windows room. I then told her this wasn’t what we expected. We were then told we could eat at a small table in the crowded bar. Fresh Salt needs to be upfront with their customers right from the first phone call. When you pay a premium price for dinner this should never happen.

Delicious seafood and tranquil view of the marina. The lobster roll was my favorite. The swordfish dish was a bit bland and needed some seasoning. I had a classic margarita and it was mediocre. Nice hotel for a wedding or event.
