This is the best village we have visited. Everything is layout nicely that if you follow the walkway, you will see pretty much everything. The only exception is the furnace. You should walk behind it on the grassy area and it takes you to the back where there are some signs with more info on the furnace. Also, there is where a platform and the nature trail is. I'm not sure how long is the trail. I would have walked it if I didn't arrive too late. Allow at least 2 hours, and if you really want to allow your kids some playtime of have a picnic, add more time for that. The exhibit in each building is nicely displayed. The weaving house has a nice but potent fragrant that irritated my lungs and made me cough for a while after leaving the building. If you have asthmatic symptoms, I recommend making a quick stop in this house but don't stay in it too long. The visitors center has gift items for sale. This park is also dogfriendly. 🐕🐕🐾🐾🐾 Highly recommended!! Oh, plenty of parking.

Fantastic area to visit. It's interesting with the history of this eastern shore Maryland place and there is also a very nice nature trail. Very knowledgeable and friendly, helpful staff. Thanks for several great visits! My dogs have both enjoyed this dog friendly place!

This was my first visit and I was taken with the area immediately. I was there to assist a friend with planning her future wedding and was unable to explore as much as I would have liked. The beautiful buildings, of which there are several, were closed. However you are able to explore outside. There are areas set up with historical items and descriptions, as well as nature trails through the woods. The entire place seems to have a magical feel that I found enchanting. It is a perfect place for a wedding, as well as a day of exploring. I cannot wait to return for future events and to explore the trails and buildings.

Been to Furnace Town before and it is a cute little historical site with workshop reenactments. Today though I went to their Ren Fair and it was wonderful! All the Furnace Town charm with artists, medieval flare and a fun scavenger hunt!

This place is a nice little educational addition to our weekend get away. There was a trail in the woods we skipped but next time we are around we will be taking the hike.
