My 5-star review is based on the stellar service I received at the Giant Foods Town Center, Millville DE store while on vacation in early August. I wanted to find a place that would print out a rectangular cake topper from a photo for a cake I was making on my sister’s birthday. Searching online and calling around I found this bakery. Ms. Becca R. At the bakery went out of her way to explain what she needed from me (a physical photo from a digital one), suggestions where to get the photo printed and on what type of paper, how quickly she could get it done, and how the sizing would work. When I brought in my photo, she had the task completed within an hour and it was beautiful and what I had envisioned. I really am so appreciative of Becca. What a great representative of her store!

When purchasing Colgate Toothpaste today (12 Dec. 2024), the six oz. tubes were priced at $2.99 and next to a 3 pack marked $9.29 which had a bright banner on the package which said Value Pack. Hardly a value - when the "value pack" is $0.32 more expensive than purchasing them individually. I mentioned it to customer service on the way out and the person there seemed to indicate she couldn't care less.

I’m absolutely disgusted with how we were treated at this giant. My family and I are brand new to Delaware and love how beautiful it is here. While we were checking out we were stared down by an older lady who appeared to be making the rudest, most disgusted, face at us. As we finished up our transactions we noticed her waving someone over. We didn’t think much of it as we paid for all of our items. As we loaded our groceries in the car and were about to pull out of our parking spot we were approached by security. He stated that he needed to check our receipts because he was told that we were stealing. He checked our receipts and all of our grocery bags and confirmed that we paid for all of the items. My family and I could not express how unwelcoming this experience has been.

I can’t believe I am writing a review on a grocery store but I want to warn everyone on how BAD this store is! Went grocery shopping at this store for the week on 7/27 after arriving at Bethany beach on a Saturday night, the place was busy as expected.
There was barely any bananas, what was there was brown and rotten. All the other produce was slim pickings, lots of empty shelves throughout the whole store.
After spending over 2 hours in the store, a huge chunk of time was waiting in line to checkout because there was ONE person checking customers out…ONE!!! Everything else was self checkout, on a busy saturday in a beach town in the summer…the lines were almost to the back of the store. The next day I open a package of soft taco shells in a box of hard/soft shells I purchased…they were completely moldy! Expiration date wasn’t until October 2024.
The grapes I purchased started to go bad after 2 days! The ground beef purchased with the sell by date of 7/30 was brown and had an awful smell on the 29th. The apples looked good at first, then after a day or so they looked so bad we had to throw out half the bag. You would think a large grocery store in a beach town would be fully stocked and wouldn’t even be able to have rotten items on their shelf’s, guess not.
Don’t waste your precious vacation time or your money at this store. It is awful.
This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star.
