Bailed a person out on a Cash bill and we never got our money back. Nothing but a bunch of thieves. I used to like Blackhawk but now I am boycotting all of Gilpin county and encouraging all my friends to do likewise. Very crooked courts up there.

Vending machine stole 1.50 $ from me. I didn't break no laws, I was just bailing out some body. Pretty nice otherwise. Tax Money from gambling looks nice. Cops are nicer up in small towns also. They release inmate as you bail out them.

We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff we encountered. From the security, judge, probation department, Sheriff, and cashier! They all work well together and with the public.

ZERO stars if that was an option because the women at the Gilpin county clerk’s office located at Dory Hill Road willfully mislead the public to ensure revenue. The scenario begins when I received a traffic citation from CSP and the court date indicated on the ticket was a date that I had a conflicting appointment. With good intentions, I called ahead to ask if I could schedule another date and to negotiate the ticket down to less points. I was told the county would not have a copy of the ticket for about 4 to 6 weeks and to call back, but that rescheduling would not be a problem. I followed up after approximately 6 weeks and the clerk said they had a copy of the citation and that I could come up any day Monday thru Friday between 9am and 4pm and talk to the judge about getting the points reduced (1st time court clerks lied about the process as one can mail in the citation and fine or pay online or via telephone).

On December 11, 2018 I traveled to Gilpin with the intention of getting the points reduced. I asked the clerk specifically if I should simply pay the ticket and get the 2-point reduction or if speaking to the judge would get more points reduced. The person behind the bullet proof glass said the judge was in a jury trial and was unavailable, but they could schedule another day. She admitted she originally gave me the wrong information over the phone and said talking to the judge might help reduce the points. (This turned out to be another fabrication from this clerk) If she was a decent human being, she would have told me to just pay the ticket. Long story short, went to court on January 3, 2019 fully expecting to negotiate with the judge but instead because of a manipulative liar at the Gilpin County Dory Hill Court house I have a full 8 points on the driver’s license and fines for both plus court costs. I don’t believe in justice any more there is a double standard. One law for state, county workers and another law for the rest of us. Advice to all if you get a traffic citation in any Colorado county just pay it you will have a better chance of points being reduced and not paying as much.

Summons number 6321679. Have 2 out of 3 repairs done. Thank you for screwing over a homeless person with no income, can't make court date, called several times and sent multiple texts and will have a warrant out for my arrest over car repairs I can't afford

I had a really, really dumb experience here in small claims. These corporate actors were of no help whatsoever. I will never try this method again nor give jurisdiction to such a worthless system.
