Mountain Women

Glen Isle hosted the inaugural Mountain Women in Business Annual Retreat, and calling it a success would be an understatement. The accommodations exceeded our expectations, offering a stunning mountain setting with rustic yet modern cabins and a historic lodge that radiates charm. The cozy kiva provided an ideal space for our workshops, fostering both comfort and productivity. The owners collaborated with us throughout the planning process, ensuring every detail was seamlessly executed. We look forward to partnering with Glen Isle again for future events.

Glen Isle has become a very special place to me and my family. It is a perfect, beautiful, historic little hidden gem in the Rockies. My family has been coming here to stay every summer since we found out about it about 5 years ago. The owners are incredible people and have done wonders to restore these gorgeous historic cabins and update them with the modern luxuries of new hotels like new appliances and updated bathrooms. This is a perfect place to stay for families, couples, friends, and solo travellers who want an outdoor getaway. Glen Isle is very welcoming and safe to people of all backgrounds and identities. The cabins are all very cozy and all of the campsites are very well kept. There are many fun things to do on site at Glen Isle. There is a lot to explore, the river is good to fish in, there are occasionally events at the lodge during the summer, there is a games room in the lodge with pool and other fun activities, and it's always a treat to hike up to the point and look out over the resort. Go a bit away from Glen Isle and you have plenty to do with endless hiking opportunities, plenty of small towns to shop in and explore nearby (evergreen, Georgetown, Morrison, and more). This is such a special place and I hope that more families and travellers continue to visit and fall in love with the place. Big props to the owners for continuing to keep pricing of cabins and campsites here low ever since they opened to keep this place accessable for families who cannot spend a fortune on an outdoor getaway.

We went here for a wedding and it was gorgeous. We had such a lovely time and the scenery couldn’t be more perfect. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. We loved our little cabin, it was very cute and cozy. It was very easy to get around and we really enjoyed our stay! The only reason for 4 stars is just being aware it’s the mountains as there were some who struggled with altitude and not used to be in the woods.could be nice to have some extra resources on hand for those folks!

This place is magical. It gave us the ability to disconnect from all the concerns and pulls of the city and home. It was the perfect peaceful escape. And with many tales of prayer trees, portals, and the Sasquatch Outpost nearby, it's so much fun to imagine Big Foot keeping an eye on you as you hike the gorgeous mountain areas.

Great place to hang your hat. Grills and fire pits at your disposal (gas and wood included). The disc golf course is worth a visit by itself. Highly recommend for a quick getaway. Highway noise is a given and the only minor downside but still. 5 stars

We love this place. It is beautiful, cozy, rustic and charming. The cabins are also very clean and comfortable. There was no tv in our cabin and we did not miss it for a moment. This place gave us the chance to truly unwind, disconnect from the busy world, and really be relaxed and present with ourselves and each other. It was blissful.

Bring some food and drink you like (there are some stores nearby where you can get food, but the restaurants seem to be closed often when not in peak summer season). Our cabin had a cute little kitchen and it was perfect. Bring games, cards, books, journals.. (although they did provide some of these things and we didn't actually find ourselves needing them).

There are plenty of beautiful places to hike. If you are spiritually inclined, it's lovely to know that the place is full of Native American prayer trees. There is also a lot of fun Big Foot lore in the area and the Sasquatch Outpost down the road is an enjoyable visit. The South Park Coney Island Hotdog is oddly right down the road too.

The Resort is steeped in history, family owned, and you can feel the love in it. The word that kept coming up when I was researching reviews of Glen Isle was "magical", and I'm going to use it now too. Our stay here was absolutely magical. A haven that we could share together. We miss it already and can't wait to go back.

Where do I begin!? Glen Isle is such a safe and special place for me and my friends and family. Mary Ruth and Greg Vincent have put in such an honorable and respectable amount of effort and love into bring this place back to life. Glen Isle is rich in history and experiences. From a historic lodge you could spend hours looking around in as well as the possibility of staying the night upstairs in one of the many historically decorated rooms. To staying in a cozy and renovated cabin right off of the creek or nestled up in the trees. To camping sites down by the river or up at the point where the views are breathtaking! There is so much to do between relaxing, hanging with the horses, hiking, playing disc golf, fishing, playing pool or ping pong in the basement of the lodge, and shopping at the gift shop. As well as one of my favorites, walking around hearing stories about the land and property and experiences of others who also share a love for Glen Isle and all that its about. It is truly a magical place that you cant fully understand until you experience it yourself! Go check it out if you havent already!!
