the Gonzales District Cemetery conducts the worst business. My father passed and we had his funeral services scheduled for 5/22/2021. While in the church trying to conduct my father's services, one of our pallbearers receives a call informing him his father's grave had been disturbed the casket liner had been badly broken and the casket was now exposed and damaged. So happens this grave is at the foot to where my father is too be laid to rest. Now you have 2 families who are grieving. We had to cancel the actual burial as it was a hazard too all if we were to proceed.

The cemetery was to get permits to bring the casket up and fix the situation; however, they proceeded to do things very rushed and hushed. They advised the other family to arrive at 8 on Sunday morning so they could be there for the bringing up of their father's casket, the family decided to show up an hour earlier and they had already completed the job without waiting or notifying the family.

In the process, they have broken yet another tombstone, broke another nearby slab of concrete had no respect for the other graves and now wetting all the dirt and expecting that to be an appropriate look for the burial to take place.

Expenses have been paid for and some are a loss, we now must make more expenses for airfare, flowers and paying for storing my father at the funeral home while this ordeal gets handled. In the meantime no one from the cemetery will return calls, board members neither. And was advised that the board meeting scheduled for today was coincidentally postponed.

This is truly unacceptable and with utter frustration, disappointment, anger and all other emotions, we have not been able to grieve properly for my father.

I will attach photos of the chaos, and to this very moment the pile of dirt they just threw aside not taking in consideration anyone else's loved ones.
