Review of my order:

So this is going to be a weird review.

Let me start off by saying that I received my order and I received it within a month since placing the order online.

Here's the story. There were very specific wines I was looking for that this website provided and it provided these wines fairly discounted. I wasn't remotely concerned with my order or the legitimacy of the website (hence the reason why I purchased through Grapeswine.) The order went through and the money was quickly taken out of my account. However, after multiple weeks of checking my account and still seeing the status of my order as "processing." There were no other updates to my account and I was quickly concerned as to the status of my order.

Fast forward two weeks and I still had no update from the website to my account. My account to this day (after receiving my wine) still says "processing." I called during business hours twice and my call automatically went to voicemail which made me even more concerned. Finally, I went back to the website via Google and that is when I saw the reviews. Once I saw all of the negative reviews about individuals never receiving their orders, receiving their orders and it being in error, and monthlong ordeals, I knew I had to act quickly. I contacted my credit card company and told them about my situation and that I wanted this payment disputed. They acted quickly and provided me with a refund without any hassle. My other issue with Grapeswine is that there is no way to cancel the order, update your account and get a refund.

Fast forward another week and I received an email from Grapeswine stating that my order had been shipped. Huh? I thought it was fake but when I clicked the link, sure enough, an order was being shipped from the Bronx via UPS. Today, I received the package and I opened it with little confidence that my wine would be present but sure enough, every single bottle I ordered was there. It was in its proper packaging, no damage to the bottles whatsoever.

What can I say? I will say this. I will not be ordering another wine from Grapeswine.com. I do not believe in their business practices of not having someone during business hours ready to answer phone calls. Their website does not update and yet they immediately will charge your card for your order. Did they send my package because I got my credit card company involved early? Maybe. Would they have done it either way? I'm not sure. What I do know is that I will not order from a website whereby I cannot contact someone on the phone to confirm their inventory.

Here is my recommendation. Order AT YOUR OWN RISK. There are WAYYYY more negative reviews than positive reviews and that is a huge red flag for me. If you are going to order wine, make sure you order wine from an actual wine store/warehouse in the US and that you can get in contact with some before placing your order. A number of stores do not readily update their websites with their current inventory and therefore their website can be misleading as to what they have in their possession. ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE ORDERING "NICE" WINE/"EXPENSIVE WINE (anything over 50 dollars or more) please contact the seller to a.) confirm that they are real b.) that they have the inventory and c.) that their website is reputable. READ THE REVIEWS so that you are not scammed.

Overall, my rating is based on the fact that the wine that I ordered is presently in my possession and exactly what I ordered. As I have previously mentioned, I will not order from them again because I had to jump through many more hurdles than I wanted to in order to get this done.

Grapeswine, if you want to improve your rating, please adhere to my recommendations. People should know exactly how to get in contact with you, what the status of their wine order is, and be updated along the way. I appreciate my order but again, I will not be doing business with you.

I ordered two cases of wine in the beginning of January 2021and they have not arrived. I have tried to call the company numerous time and have not received a response. I did speak to a Dave once in February and he told me the wine would shipping in a week. Still nothing arrived. I also have a contact (Irma) and she told me several times that she would look into it the wine shipment and has shared that the wine would be shipped the next week. They also charged my credit card for the order. already over $600.00. I just want the wine or a straight answer. Planning to file a Police report tomorrow and report this transaction to the fraud unit with my credit card company tomorrow as well. If I do not hear and see the product has shipped.

Beware of this firm!

UPDATE: 2020/2021. I ordered another case of wine in October 2020. They assured me they had it and would be shipping it shortly. In January 2021 nothing had shown up. They responded that they will receive it in two weeks and ship it out immediately. February 2021 nothing arrived and was told they should receive it in the two weeks and will send it out immediately. March 2021 had not received anything. I reached out to them again and was told they should receive it in a couple of weeks and will send it out immediately. April 2021 nothing showed up and they quit responding to my inquiries. Canceled the order and had American Express reversed the charges.

OLDER REVIEW:
Based on the reviews and my experience I can pretty much sum up this business.

1) They take a long time to fill an order (about 2 weeks for our order to ship). But then took 3 days once we were notified that it shipped (not bad). We were in no rush.

2) They do have "fine print" that states they can substitute if your wine is not currently available. That would suck for us and not acceptable. However, I was told that if you note in the Order Comments when you place your order "no substitutions" then they will wait longer for your wine to show up or they will cancel your order if not available.

3) Someone over 21 has to be home when delivered so you can sign for it.

4) They had the best prices for the wine we were looking for. The wine was well packaged. What we ordered was what they shipped. We were in no hurry and based on other reviews we expected it to take a month to show up (was actually quicker than we expected).

We were happy with the experience and will order from them again once this case of wine is gone 🙂

I've ordered $977 worth of wine online from Wine Parity in September, 2022. This is another business name for Grapes Wine, Grapes, with same address. After few weeks of not receiving the order, I called and left a voicemail and an email. I have never been able to talk with someone on the phone. They emailed back and said it’s on backorder and promised to ship it end of the week. I waited couple more weeks but nothing happened so I called and emailed again and told them I want to cancel the order and asked for a refund. After several attempts and writing a review on BBB, the director at Wine Parity, Rob Russo, responded by saying he will refund my money. That was November, 2022. It's January 22, 2023 now and I still have not received a refund.
Be careful with Wine Parity/Grapes Wine/Grapes!

I ordered a case of wine on October 18 and never received it. Calls to inquire regarding my order never answered. I had to finally file a dispute with my credit card detailing that I never received the product in late November after Thanksgiving. Buyers beware of this company. Communication is non-existent and they charge you immediately. An expected ship date is not given when the order posts which usually comes in an email detailing order processing and shipping details.

Worst ever. Don’t order from this company. I wish I would have checked the reviews before ordering my wine. I ordered my case on 2/7/19 and have yet to receive it despite multiple attempts to contact the company. I have been told it was “in process” and “shipping out” this week several times. Once, I was told it shipped but then was returned due to breakage (which I find highly unlikely but whatever). The latest was a delay on one of the wines (which I also find suspect), and that it was shipping out “this week” - rrrrrright! I won’t hold my breath. Ridiculous.

The only easy part is when they take your money. When I called to order, I was advised they had 20+ cases of the wine I wanted on hand. After 2 weeks without shipping, I email asking where my order is. A week later I get a response stating my wine will not arrive to their shipping warehouse for another week, then I would be sent tracking. Two weeks later, no tracking, no replies, and now a disconnected phone number.

UPDATE:

Their phone did get turned back on and the order was eventually filled 2 months later after constantly having to check in.

Like reviews before me, I guess if time is on your side and you are in no rush, the pricing and selection is there.
