Haunting At The Ridge - Middlefield, Connecticut

Located at Powder Ridge Mountain Park & Resort. Came here Saturday night. We bought tickets ahead of time. Our time was 8. We got to the front of the line in about 20 minutes. You take the ski lift to the top of the mountain and walk down. I had never been on a ski lift before and in the dark in the woods gave me a little anxiety ha ha.

The trail itself is OK. There’s a lot of cool items set up and multiple emergency exits with the staff. There didn’t seem to be enough actors on the trail. For me, it was too many people. If the people in front of you start walking too slow, you catch up to them. The actors jump out at them, not at you. There is a lot of walking that is downhill so be prepared for that. At the end, there was a party atmosphere with music, drinks, food, fire pits, etc. I liked the concept overall, but not great execution. they definitely need more actors on the trail.

Had an amazing time! It was my first time on a ski lift, it was such a cool way to start the haunt! The props were so amazing and the scare actors were great at hiding!
My favorite part was the side show preformer Jojo kitty! They had the coolest acts I've ever seen!

This review is for Oct 2024. And we had a blast!

First, we went for 6:30 and the parking was easy and well marked. Just a short line to redeem our online ticket for a bracket. And they had plenty of clean restrooms.

The scariest part for me may have been the sky lift, as I’m terrified of heights and you’re going up in the dark. This was after a short wait to get started. No long lines for an hour. At least not early in the evening.

At the top we start to walk down the trail. You see a bit of it as you ride up, but it took nothing away from the experience. They have the trail well marked with several places to get escorted off if you need. This was kid friendly in the sense that it wasn’t overly scary and no one touches you.

Admittedly the attractions at the very end wasn’t something we cared for. Had some music and minimal food, and bit of entertainment. That said, the trail was the main attraction and it didn’t disappoint. Takes about 30 mins to walk done and we laughed the whole time! We plan to go back in the future. Thanks for the great time. (Note: we drove in from MA which was 2 hours driving and totally worth it!)

Connecticut's haunted attraction scene just got a major boost thanks to this standout experience, expertly blending creativity and atmosphere. The scenic chairlift ride sets the tone, followed by a thrilling hike down the mountain that's both challenging and frightening. I opted for the PG version due to health constraints, but I'm already looking forward to conquering the full scary experience with friends when I'm back to full strength. The Zombie lounge is a brilliant addition that’s included with the admission fee, making this a must-visit destination.

I thought this was I had a blast at Haunting at the Ridge this year! This is still our favorite spot in Connecticut! We're already planning to go back with some friends later this month, and I can't wait for next year! a lot of fun! Me and the kids had a great time. It was even cooler than last year. The ski lift ride was awesome, and even though the walk down the mountain was kinda long, it was totally doable. The actors were impressive and really committed to their parts, which made it super thrilling. After that, we chilled in the Zombie Lounge, and the DJ was amazing.

The Haunting At The Ridge was an incredible experience. We had a great Saturday night there. The atmosphere was amazing with great music, plenty of food/drinks, performance shows, fire pits, and games to play. They also have a great restaurant inside as well if you are looking for a sit-down meal.
The attraction itself was super scary. You take a ski lift up the mountain and then walk down a haunted trail. The actors did a phenomenal job, and I was impressed by the setup. I don’t want to spoil everything, but this was a very unique experience compared to a typical haunted attraction. I’d highly recommend this if you are in the area. It’s well worth it.

I had a blast! From the beginning, the adrenaline from the lift alone had my heart pumping! The trail was nonstop scare after scare. Everywhere you turned someone was coming out to haunt you.
So much to go through I don’t want to spoil it for you! The haunt doesn’t stop there though! The Zombie Lounge is a separated vibe of its own too! Sitting around the fire pits sipping on their specialty drinks while socializing with friends as the DJ plays and the entertainment provides an amazing show is a great way to spend your fall weekends! I can’t wait for next year! 💀👻🎃
