Great light show, especially being local, will attend next year, and worth the price. Staff was very friendly, it was great being able to connect your radio to hear music with the lights! There was one or two turns that may be tight if you have a very large vehicle, however, no other concerns or complaints! Thank you guys for a great memory! ❤️

Visited the new light drive thru Sunday night and it was a huge disappointment unfortunately. First thing we noticed is there was no signage at all. Not a single sign anywhere. Upon arrival, we were directed to the left of two lanes and came to a spot where we were unable to tell which way to go, luckily someone was nearby and I was able to ask which way and he asked “the girl didn’t tell you which way to go?” to which I replied “what girl?” Turns out we drove right past the girl scanning tickets in the other lane and no one was scanning tickets in the lane we were directed to, so had I not known which way to go I would have gotten in for free.

The very first display I believe we figured out was a “Jewelry Store”. It was quite hard to figure out as I would guestimate that approximately 5 to 10% of the bulbs on most displays were out. I would also say that a good 5% of the displays there weren’t even on, a couple were still lying flat on the ground. There appeared to be a large selection of Halloween themed displays as well. At least that what we deduced they were, because the quality of the displays were sub par. The nicest display there was “Joy” and stood out like a lone shining star in a sea of mediocrity. No other display there was as good as Joy, as it had different lights on it and looked way better. The one tunnel they had, easily half of the ribs in weren’t even on. The red and white pathway lights were nice and did follow well over 95% of the course.

On their website it says “Synchronized Displays: Lights dance in time with holiday favorites broadcast straight to your car stereo!”. The girl that scanned our ticket even said tune to this FM station as “some of the lights blink to the music”. We could not find a single light on the campground that was synchronized or blinked to the music. There were a few displays blinking, but that looked more like electrical issues and not timed to the music at all. In fact, most of the songs they played were quite slow in tempo so they would not make good selections to have lights blink to. From what I saw this was fairly blatant false advertising.

My honest first reaction was disappointment and I even said this was worse than Holiday Light Fantasia used to be when it came to old, tired, burnt out displays. Knowing this brand has multiple locations out there, it felt like this was just the leftovers from other locations that were cobbled together to make a drive thru. There are much better options in CT, I would suggest seeking those out instead unfortunately.

A really fun place to take the little kids. Maybe bring some hot chocolate. They did some nice creative work on the lights.

Completely shocked by the customer service. Dark entry, no signs, no entry or ticket scanning system. Got yelled at for passing the girl scanning tickets, despite her being in complete darkness and not visible. No signs saying where to scan tickets or anything directing us. Extremely unprofessional staff all throughout this experience. Was looking forward to holiday fun, instead got berated for missing the ticket scanner.

After being yelled at and chased down, they insinuated we were not going to pay, despite having purchased a ticket the night prior. When scanning the ticket, we were met with a horrible attitude. Definitely needs a new entry system and new staff for next year so no one else has to experience the awful people up front.

The display was lackluster as well. Nothing spectacular about it, I would recommend another holiday activity for your family.

Lights were advertised as among the best in Connecticut. Very disappointing. Many lights were out, some whole displays were not lit. Supposed to be automated displays, the only thing they did were go on and off. There were displays you couldn't tell what they were. Definitely will never visit again. Not worth the money or the 1 hour 15 min drive to get there. Will not recommend to anyone. Would have given zero stars if I could have.

Holiday Lights Mystic in North Stonington offers a fantastic holiday experience that’s perfect for families and kids. Covering over a mile of campground with dazzling displays, the event combines the magic of Christmas lights with music synced to a dedicated radio station for a truly immersive experience.

The lights themselves were impressive—fun, creative, and offering plenty of variety. While there were a few bulbs out here and there, it wasn’t enough to detract from the overall ambiance. We also experienced a brief outage of music and lights for about 10-15 seconds, but the issue was resolved quickly and didn’t diminish the enjoyment.

A couple of areas could use improvement, especially considering this is their first year. First, there’s no visible signage from the road. Proper advertising at the entrance would likely attract more visitors and make it easier to find. Second, after paying, more direction would be helpful, including a sign with the radio station information. These small adjustments could significantly enhance the overall experience.

For those leaving one-star reviews, keep in mind that this is a new event, and growing pains are natural. The effort and creativity that went into this show are evident, and with time, I believe it will only get better.

In short, Holiday Lights Mystic is a delightful way to enjoy the holiday season. It’s fun, family-friendly, and worth the trip. Give it a shot—you won’t be disappointed!

Drove an hour because it said online one of the best. 3/4 of the lights were out. Took maybe 4 minutes tops to drive through. Customer service wasn’t good. It was a complete waste of time and waste of money. Half of them weren’t even Christmas lights….. it was terrible!! Most of the time was trying to figure out what the lights were.

OMG! Worst ever. So disappointed. Light were out. No themes. No animation with the radio station. Big christmas desiplay that were on the web site never where seen. Drove an hour and very disappointed. I will not suggest this holiday light show to anyone.
