Not worth your time or money. I understand Sea World is still pretty new in the Halloween game but my advice is if your gonna do it go all in and do it. The haunted house have a lot of wasted space the scare actors have nothing to really work with but their own screaming voice. The “scare zones” are a joke and even one of them either wasn’t in the right place or Sea World had the music for the contaminated scare zone playing in the wrong section cause it sure wasn’t together. They delayed our entry cause it started raining so instead made all their customers stay out in the pouring rain to get soaking wet I assume just because they had to do their lil show entry before opening the gate. Listen up the price is cheap but you get what you pay for. The entry price is cheap but everything else including drinks parking merchandise is higher there than any other park and I mean considerably higher. We spent almost $300 and only stayed maybe 1 1/2hr then came right back to HHN. Trust me when I say don’t do it and hey Sea World either get it together or just stop please, you’re embarrassing yourself. The houses are a joke even compared to standalone Halloween houses you just find in your own area. It’s just sad really. I tried but nope it was a complete waste.

Had an amazing time at Howl o scream! The different themed haunted houses, scream zones and shows were fantastic. This has now become our new favorite Halloween tradition. The food and drinks were delicious also. I had crispy sushi and teriyaki chicken with a bloody cocktail and a jello shot syringe 💉I Will definitely be coming back next year!

I'm excited to see how this events grows. This was our 2nd year and while it doesn't have the budget of HHN, it makes up for it with the passion and freedom of the scare actors, and the cozy home grown feel of the decor and houses. I definitely recommend getting there early to not wait in long lines for the houses (front of the line pass is not quite worth it IMHO yet, maybe in a few years and with more houses or at a cheaper price point), and to enjoy the long stroll and ambiance. The scare actors have more freedom to improvise in the houses and scare zones and I love how unique each walk through is. Some zones this year were less staffed than prior years, but they're still learning their groove. Definitely grab tickets in the Summer when they have their sale (roughly ~30 bucks).

I went to Howl-O-Scream last night for the first time in about ten years and I was pretty disappointed. I used to love this event, the creativity and care that went into it was remarkable. From the moment you entered the park, creatively attired scare actors worked hard to craft a fully immersive experience.Transitions between scare zones and haunts were really well done and you truly felt as if you’d entered a different realm. In one night, it was possible to experience at least some of the houses, shows and scare zones, in a well paced way, making the relatively high ticket price well worth it. Well, nothing lasts forever.

The focus has shifted dramatically away from the haunts and immersive experience towards an extreme push for alcohol sales. While adult beverages have always been a part of what makes Busch Gardens, well, Busch Gardens, alcohol was just one facet of the experience, not the overarching theme of the entire event. How sad that for the 25th anniversary of Howl-O-Scream, the disregard for what made it great to begin with, in favor of easy profit, with was so abundantly evident.

Glaringly, there are far fewer scare actors than in previous years, leaving weird empty gaps in many of the houses. The actors who are there are doing the best they can, but in many instances, through no fault of their own, their costumes and makeup were truly subpar. You really will see better at some local haunts.

Throughout the park, employees seemed exhausted and even a little nervous to be working the event. The park is clearly understaffed, restrooms were dirty, garbage was piling up everywhere, and there is so little organization with regard to lines for houses, food, and parking. As an example, upon entering the event, we were pretty hungry after waiting the expected hour to park. We then waited another hour just to get a burger and fries.

The themes, artwork, props, music and sets in the houses are still excellent. A fact that makes the neglect in all other areas of the experience even sadder somehow. Busch Gardens has really dropped the ball on their signature, annual event, turning it more into an overpriced bar crawl than an immersive experience in horror and fantasy. I’m glad I got to experience it when they actually GAF, but I won’t be returning any time soon.

Hawl O Scream was SO much better the last 2 years. The scare zones are pathetic compared to previous years. We came for our 3rd year in a row because of how awesome the haunted houses AND scare zones were. Extremely disappointed 😞 Seems like they've eliminated so many people. Staff can't even keep up with trash.

Pretty disappointed in this event. First things first. Be careful buying tickets. They had a "sale" for any night for 50$. Soon after buying those tickets they dropped the price to 35$. Felt like a slap in the face. The haunted houses had barely anyone in them. So the freight wasn't exactly there. I paid for the fast pass for haunted houses. They have 5 but really it's 4. 1 of the lines has you jump out of one haunted house and into another. So in my opinion don't buy the fast pass if you're only doing the houses and not the rides. The only thing positive was the lines for rides were only 15 minutes or less. It wasn't a total disappointment but probably won't do it again.

If anyone sees this review, please take it seriously and don't waste your money. I didn't take reviews seriously, saw good and bad, and went based on good. They are overselling tickets like crazy. We bought the tickets for tonight three weeks ago, got there at 8 ( 1 hour after opening) and the lines were so long we were not even able to do one haunted house. I expected long lines, but not 2 to 3 hour long lines. We waited an hour and a half for one haunted house, and were not even close to the entrance so gave up and walked the rest of the "loop" and left. Spent 140 dollars to walk around and look at over priced items. Unless you can afford to pay for the "fast line" tickets, your going to wait hours for one attraction. And since they are only open 7 pm to midnight, you will be lucky to get through two haunted houses if you stand in line for the 4 out of the 5 hours they are open. So disappointing after driving two hours there and back, will not be going again, I don't care how cheap they drop the tickets, not worth it.
